One shot since the next episode didn't really follow Lacey and Megan being saved. Love Body of Proof and the chemistry between the actors who play Megan and Lacey. This is a extended scene that takes place 3x2, right after Megan and Lacey are saved.

"Come on dear, let's go" Megan said to Lacey as the serial killer laid dead on the floor.

"We'll take care of this here" Tommy said as he walked by the mother and daughter.

"Oh and by the way, I found this."

It was Lacey's insulin. Thankful that she could help Lacy, she helped Lacey with her insulin and she already looked better as it went through her bloodstream.

"Tommy can you drive us?" Megan asked as she noticed he was walking towards them.

"I was just about to ask you that myself. I'm letting pretty boy over there finish this case" Tommy said referring to his new partner.

Megan and Lacey sat in the backseat, while Tommy took the wheel. Lacey leaned on Megan's shoulder and fell asleep on the ride to the hospital.

"Thank you Tommy" Megan said from the backseat.

"Don't mention it" Tommy replied back.

"Mom?" Lacey asked as she laid in her hospital bed.

"Yes, sweetie?" Megan asked as she came back into the room. She went home for a short time to get some things.

"Thanks for coming to save me"

"I had to save you baby, your my daughter." Megan said as she ran her hand down her daughter's side and sat on the nearby chair.

"Are you okay?" Lacey asked as she noticed her mother's eyes looking all over the room.

"Yes, baby I'm fine. As long as your okay, I'm okay" Megan said she kissed her daughter gently on the head.

"I love you"

"I love you too"

Suddenly Tommy walked into the room.

"Tommy?" Megan asked wondering why he was here.

"I just wanted to see if you and your daughter are okay"

"Oh, well in that case, Lacey this is Detective Sullivan" Megan said.

"Nice to meet you, thanks for saving us" Lacey said introducing herself.

"Well that was your mother's idea, but I did what I had to do" Tommy said, suddenly his police radio went off.

"I have to be heading back, nice to meet you and Dr. Hunt.."

"Yes?"

"Kate told me they want you to have the rest of the day off" Tommy said.

"Thank you Tommy" Megan replied as Tommy departed.

"Guess what I brought you" Megan said as Tommy left the room.

"What?"

"Your favorite stuffed animal" Megan said as she pulled out a old stuffed elephant out of her bag.

"Mom!" Lacey said playfully as her mother tickled her with her stuffed animal, the same way she did after she comforted Lacey after her first heartbreak.

"If they let me out tonight, can I sleep in your bed?" Lacey asked so innocently it pulled on Megan's heartstrings.

"Of course honey, and since I don't have work for the rest of the day, we can watch whatever you want."

"Robert Pattinson?" Lacey asked smiling.

"Yes, even Robert Pattinson" Megan replied smiling down at her daughter, thanking God that she still had her.

Megan moved from the chair to Lacey's hospital bed, as she laid down next to her daughter. Lacey crawled into her embrace as they both began to watch whatever new movies Robert Pattinson was in.
