Jon Baker was sleeping peacefully, when he was rudely awoken by a sound. He heard someone banging on the door.
"Who would be here at four-thirty in the morning?" He wondered. He opened the door. The person knocking didn't notice the door open, so they kept knocking. They actually were just hitting Jon in the head now.
"Hey would you cut that out?" Jon asked annoyed.
"Oh sorry, Jon. I didn't realize you opened the door you should've said something," Ponch said then walked in.
"What are you doing here so early in the morning Ponch?" Jon asked. He really wasn't sure he wanted to know, but he asked anyway.
"I have an amazing idea!" Ponch exclaimed. Jon closed the door.
"Do you think you could keep the noise down?" He asked.
"Oh sorry partner, but I have a great idea."
"And it couldn't have waited until at least sometime after eight-thirty?" Jon asked. Ponch glared at him for a moment, then his smile came back.
"I figured out how to get rid of those really scary, hairy things called spiders," He announced. Jon rolled his eyes.
"Oh yes, I'm sure you did," He said. It had been like this for weeks. Ever since there was a huge spider making its way around central and scaring Ponch and Harlan to death.
"What did you come up with this time?" Jon asked.
"Well, your not afraid of spiders right?"
"Right, what does that have to do with anything though?"
"Well that's my great idea. You're gonna kill that spider. I went out and bought you protective gloves so wouldn't actually have to touch that thing with your bare hands. I also got this," Ponch said pulling out a book that said. "How To Kill A Spider Without Touching it For Dummies."
"That's nice Ponch, thanks for the book. I'll think about this," Jon said.
"I thought you'd be happy with this idea Jon," Ponch said making a face like he was about to cry. Jon felt bad, so he took the book and the gloves.
"Ok, ok, I'll kill the spider," Jon said. Ponch got a huge smile on his face.
"That's great Jon!" He exclaimed. "I'll see you at work later. And hopefully I won't see that spider there," Ponch added.
Meanwhile later…..
Ponch went into work and was greeted by Jon with a smile.
"I killed the spider," He said, he seemed to be holding back laughter. Ponch didn't notice he was just happy that the spider was dead. He went into the locker room and saw Grossie in there.
"Hi, Grossie, isn't it a beautiful day today?"
"Yep just lovely," Grossie said. He also was holding back laughter. Ponch opened his locker and screamed. Four heads peeked into the room and started to laugh. It was Jeb, Bear, Getraer, and Jon.
"You guys are the worst!" Inside Ponch's locker was the dead spider. It was set up just right so it looked like it was still alive. It freaked Ponch out at first, but when he realized it was dead it wasn't as scary, but it was still scary.
Authors note: I'm not sure the book Ponch gave Jon is actually a real book I just made it up.
