After Marching Band
For some of us Band Nerds (no offence) Band ends after the first semester and we are left out for the rest of the year unless you are in another band like Jazz Band. And many thing I have noticed is that we still keep some marching band traits with us some longer then others. For example I have caught my self numerous times trying to keep in step with the person in front of me or beside me. If this happens just remember its not your fault blame it on band. And some of us (or maybe just me) tend to want to stay away from the drum major even after band (unless your a freshmen there "power" entrances them) they cant do anything any more you just want to be away too many painful memories. And for myself and other poor unfortunate souls out there Band practice is the only place to get a tan so we take full advantage of the sun with our tank tops and very short shorts. (for us girls and maybe some guys if they want) I know some of you are nodding your heads right now and others don't want to admit it but most of these are true. But there is one fact that some people misunderstand just because we call ourselves band nerds doesn't mean we are nerds I just like to say band nerd or band dork it has the ring to it. The last Prom king we had was in band and miss popular was in band. Band isn't for losers it never was for them and it will never be for them. Except for me Im the dork in the corner trying to figure out how her clarinet works. Now I wont even touch the instrument unless I have too. I and maybe some of you feel lost after band the one thing that took up you whole time is gone and now you don't know what to do. (that for ten minutes until you realize there is places to go people to see) But sadly band does affect you even after its over.
