Disclaimer: I don't own Fruits basket
A poem to the Cat
You are the most beautiful Monster of them all
You take almost the hardest fall
You're not short lived but your life is hard
You are always mocked by the rat who is smart
Never were you reconciled or praised
Not by loving parents raised
You scream loud and clearly asking why
You begging silently god why?
Why have you forsaken me?
I was tricked can't you see?
Why just punish my form?
His tears fall down warm
And they seem to be the only source of heat
To warm this lonely figure
Lives in the wood and hunts his meat
As time goes on he grows bigger
I love the cat for he is gentle
It makes me sad to see him lonely
He goes almost ill mental
Ignorance hurts I want to help him only
He's afraid of getting hurt
He had fallen often
Sometimes in the dirt
In the wood to harden, not to soften
He transforms and is more than a cat
He's afraid, he doesn't look nice
But he needs someone brave someone that
Is not scared about risking a price
Someone who stays faithful at his side
Shows him their world so wide.
