Why I Left
Fitz and Simmons were looking over new case files in Jemma's room trying to figure out their next move. Daisy or Quake as she goes by now, was still rogue from S.H.I.E.L.D and it was their job to figure out the best way to bring her in without harm.
"I'm telling you Fitz I don't think that will work" Simmons says to Fitz's idea of an updated I.C.E.R gun.
"Why not? It's been modified to the strength of her power, she won't have the strength to fight off the affects, and it won't harm her"
"Because I don't think you or anyone else could get close enough to her for long enough to fire the gun"
"She's our friend Jemma we need to do something to help her, even if it is taking her into custody to find out why she's doing this?"
"I know she's our friend Fitz, but I don't think she cares anymore"
"why would you say that, she lost Lincoln and that sucks, but we all have lost people we cared for and none of us have went off the reserve"
"Because I can see it in what she does, she's not trying to send us a help signal she's warning us to stay away, that's what I got when she ran from Coulson and Mack"
"Ok good point, I'm not giving up on her"
"I know you're not and that's one of the things I love about you, always seeing the god in others when they lose sight of that and when others don't see it" She said giving him a kiss.
"On the subject of leaving, I want to know why you left me after my brain injury I needed you the most and you left to go undercover at Hydra" Fitz said serious now looking at Simmons.
"Fitz, I thought we got passed this, why bring it up again after everything?"
"Because I want to know that you didn't leave because of how my brain injury changed me, my speech, my thought process, you weren't embarrassed of me were you?"
Simmons paused for a min and took Fitz's hands looking in his eyes and showing a slight smile saying.
"Of course that's not why I left, I left so I could find out everything about Hydra and Ward the man who did that to you, to find out their processes and their weaknesses if they had any and bring them down once in for all"
Fitz took a deep breath relieved to hear that from his girlfriend.
"Thank you Jemma, that means the world to me to finally know the truth"
"Your welcome Fitz"
They hugged and kissed and went back to their research hoping to find a way to bring Daisy back home where she belonged.
