Ok so this is my first Kuroshitsuji fanfic and I gave it my all sorry if it's not so good... I hope you guys enjoy it, it was heaps of fun to write ^_^

If you walked through the halls of the Phantomhive estate at night you find that it was still, silent and rather lonely opposed from the day. The only thing moving in the mansion was a tall, thin and devilishly handsome butler. He made his way around the house, not bothering with the candles he would normally carry for his eyesight was exceptionally brilliant. He would stop and check the rooms for anything that was out of the ordinary. The last room he would go to would be the young master's.

Each night the butler would slink into the room to check up on the boy. Each night he would sit in the small arm chair by the bed and watch the young man sleep. He would tell himself that he was only checking up on his master as it was his duty as a butler to do so. But deep down he knew there was something else. He had tried many times to ignore the little voice in his head but his self control was starting to fade.

One night he was sitting by his young master's bed contemplating what he should sort out for dinner tomorrow when the small boy stirred in his sleep.

"Sebastian..."

The butler froze in the old tattered arm chair. What would Ciel say if he saw his butler watching him sleep? Should he try to hide before Ciel found him? No it was too late for that he had obviously been found out. So Sebastian just sat there completely still waiting for his master to yell at him.

He waited...

And waited... but it never came. A sudden wave of relief washed over him as he relaxed in the chair. Ciel was still asleep.

"Momma...momma..." Ciel slurred rolling on to his back. Sebastian slid off his chair and bent down so that he was less than an inch away from Ciel's face. He studied the young boy's expression. It was so morbid. Not at all the expression a young boy should wear.

He rested his hand on Ciel's chest. His heart was beating steadily beneath Sebastian's palm. His lips brushed the top Ciel's forehead. The kiss was so light that the child didn't even stir.

"Until that time comes, I am here for you." The demon whispered softly closing the heavy wooden door on his master.
