Disclaimer: I don't own them
Pressed up against the outside of the bathroom door, he waited until the screech of the rusty showerhead pervaded the bathroom, squealing throughout the house like a hot kettle. On tiptoe he hustled into the room and found the stack of neatly folded clothes; just as rapidly, he rushed to his room. Across the room, a mirror reflected his astonishment as he unfurled trousers so tall he couldn't possibly lift them without dragging them across the floor.
He craned his neck and listened carefully. The shower was still as audible as ever and there wasn't a heavy slap of wet feet to be heard. Luke knit his brows with determination, and rolled the pants up before barely fitting into the garments. He frowned, watching the trousers fall to his feet. With a huff, he pulled them back up and twisted the back of the pants into a knot, and tucked it in. The orange shirt swallowed him, adding to his annoyance. He felt like he was wearing a circus tent, and looking in the mirror he felt like a sideshow oddity- a shrunken man. He knew it was wishful thinking, but he hoped the final article, the top hat, would lessen the awkward way the rest of the clothes fell on him. For a split second, he smiled at himself in the mirror, admiring how the hat rested on his head.
That is, until the hat fell over his eyes.
And then, the shower's rickety shout silenced, casting a shadow of alarm over Luke. Panicked, he took the hat off and held it under one arm; with the other he gathered the professor's trousers and ran. His face was red and he hadn't even been discovered yet. He didn't assume by now he could get away with it. Even if he made it there in time he still had to undress and put the garments in perfect order.
The door opened, and without thinking, blinded by terror, he skidded to a stop. The pants he had been holding up loosened and in an instant he fell face first in front of the professor.
"Ouch," Luke said, and then, as if the fall wasn't enough, he looked up and realized he hadn't just landed in front of the professor: he was underneath a professor clad in only a towel.
