Chapter 1: Dark abyss
-New york-
Two girls laid in a dark room a man on the floor struggled watching the girls arise from there slumber one was a girl who looked alot like Karai except she was blonde the other was a brunette with tanish skin both muscular and an hourglass like body and both pretty impressive when the girls awoke they struggled to understand were they were but quickly read the note and noticed the burnt dead corpse.
"A life for a life. A man for Tang Shen."
"Uh…. What is going on here?" The brunette nervously asked, backing away.
"I don't know, Allie." the other girl said looking at the ground it was fairly dark but she could see a circle. "I think its asking us to kill this guy."
"What?!" Allison shrieked. "Why would we do that?!"
"Probably to bring back this person," the other girl said, pointing at the burnt body.
"You little bitches better not!" The man angrily yelled. "There's no way in hell I'm dying! It's bad enough I was thrown in prison!"
Marissa looked at the man. "My step father was what one would call a serial killer. But he only killed bad people. Kinda like a hypocrite if you ask me."
"Good, bad, who knows the difference anymore?" The man casually asked. "Who decides, really?"
"That's a little obvious, don't you think?" Allie asked.
"By that logic, I was in the right when I ran those punks off the road," the man casually said.
"I'm sorry, what?" Allie nervously asked.
"They brought it on themselves for throwing their fast food crap at my windshield!" The guy shouted. "World's better off without trash like them. I was only jailed because their parents were telling those sob stories. 'My son was a great athlete' 'My daughter was so nice' Give me a fucken break."
Marissa played with the knife a bit. And then she stabbed his leg. "You killed two kids because they were being stupid? That's very bad."
"You little bitch," he growled in pain. "Those punks deserved what they got."
"Really? Then I guess you deserve what you get." Marissa gave him a dark twisted look; she was a bit drunk, but it didn't matter, she cut off his fingers on his right hand.
"Ahhh!" He screamed. His eyes widened in terror when he saw the blood gushing out of his finger holes. "My fingers! Oh my god!"
"what to cut off next….."
Allison stood up, an unreadable expression on her face, and walked over to Marissa. At first he thought he was saved, but that was shattered when she spoke.
"Can I give him the Van Gogh treatment?" She asked.
"Go for it…." Marissa handed her the bloody knife. She know she'd probably feel horrible later but right now it didn't matter.
Allison took the weapon and walked over to him. He backed away in pure horror.
"What are you doing? What the hell's the Van Gogh treatment?!" He fearfully asked.
"Now tell me something. How many people did you really kill?" Allison asked ignoring his question.
"You really wanna know?" He asked her. She nodded. "Before those punks, I killed 16 people. Last one was my ex-girlfriend."
"Oh you're a very bad man in fact you're a serial killer. You deserve this." Allison drunkenly said cutting off his ear.
"Ahhh!" He screamed in agony. She held his ear in front of him. "You cut off my ear, you damn psychopath!"
"Hey, Allie, can I leave my step fathers signature? I mean we're killing this serial killer anyway."
"Be my guest, Mari," said Allis, returning to her friend. And then she threw away the cut off ear.
Mariss pulled up his shirt pulled out some needles and pierced his stomach with each. Before heating up an angel necklace she put the hot angel on his head and it burned into his skin causing the man to scream and finally she stabbed his heart.
The blood spilled around the woman in a circle each moment seemed to burn around the body and disappear until the woman had a full head of hair, smooth skin, and alive.
The woman opened her eyes and gasped. It was as though she had not used her lungs in ages, which was true. As she breathed, she looked around her surroundings. It was a bloodbath. A man was dead and two girls were covered in blood.
She screamed and asked, "What happened here?! Where am I? What's going on?! Who are you?!"
"I'm….." Marissa felt horrible for more than one reason. She had killed someone even if it was a very bad man she still felt horrible and for another that Shen had to see this.
"My name's Allison. She's Marissa," said Allison, trying to calm the frightened woman. "And that man there was a serial killer. And proud of it."
Shen took a few calming breaths while attempting to stand up. "But…. How am I here? Last I remember, I was at my home in Japan. It was on fire. My husband Yoshi and his brother Saki were fighting. Saki prepared to strike Yoshi, but…. Got me."
"You're alive because we brought you back to life." Allison told her in a calm tone. Shen looked at her and took her offered hand.
"Thank you," said Shen. "But… what ever happened to Yoshi? Or my daughters?"
The girls looked at each other in confusion. "Uh I'm afraid we don't know where your daughters are. But we can find your husband. But first we gotta clean ourselves off."
The three of them walked off and left the dead guy for the police.
-outside at a warehouse a few hours later-
Marissa was puking and crying over what happened. She normally drank or used some technique to remove how she felt about things.
"Just keep telling yourself he was a bad man." Allison said sadly, hoping to help. Shen looked sadly at the girls.
"Her step father was a serial killer. Well, more like a vigilante. He only killed people who murdered, raped, or worse and had her help him sometimes. So she drank to help forget. As did I. She's not a bad person just tends to do bad things for good reasons."
Shen took Marissa's hand and said, "You seem very good to me. And that man, from what you and your friend told me, he was unrepentant for what he had done. You don't need to feel sad for him."
"You know my step father use to tell me feeling guilty makes you better than them. When I lured a petifle to my dad the instant he tried to touch me he would smack the guy so hard on the head I saw blood." Marissa told her she hugged Shen.
"Your step father was right about that," Shen told her while hugging her back. "The fact that you have those feelings does make you more of a person than them. But you need to acknowledge those feelings and find a better way to work through them."
"I'm working through them fine." Marissa coldly responded she pushed her away. "Let's go."
"Marissa…." Shen said, trying to reach out to her. Allison stopped her shaking her head. Marissa and Allison then began to wash themselves off.
Shen wished she could help those poor girls. Especially Marissa. Something about her felt familiar. Once the girls finished, they got redressed and rejoined Shen.
"Okay. So, how do we find Yoshi?" Allison asked Marissa.
"We're gonna kidnap a girl then get him to come to her." Marissa declared.
"Excuse me. Perhaps I heard you wrong. I thought you said you planned on kidnapping someone," said Shen.
"No you heard her right. She used to kidnap people all the time with her father."
"Should I be worried?" Shen nervously asked.
"Nah we'll be fine. If this is the episode I think it is we'll be fine." Allison said, not the least bit concerned.
Shen sighed and said, "This is still concerning. But, you brought me back to life, so I trust you. I just hope you know what you're doing."
"I do. Like I said I use to kidnap kids to lure serial killers to our house. I mean they're murders but they still care about their children we let them go after words. The kids I mean." Marissa explained.
Allison pulled out a map of New York and said, "We just to set up a perimeter and then operation lure the rat is ago. Faze one: kidnap April O'Neil."
"Faze two: one of us goes into the turtles lair then get the bait on the hook. I'll set up the cameras in our current home and you'll watch them when they come."
"Faze three: bring Splinter inside to Tang Shen," said Allison. "Although, the turtles might try to sneak weapons.
"We should specify that Splinter is to come alone then when they come with him we send a warning flare for them to drop all their weapons and you'll check them for extras."
"You got it," said Allison, winking.
"Okay plans ago first up April. Allison, hack into her phone and send a text from Casey Jones."
"No problem," Allison said, cracking her knuckles. She turned on her computer and typed a fake message from Casey saying he wanted to meet up.
-allieway near the park-
April went to the park by herself. She had received a text from Casey saying he wanted to study again. It was from him, so she had no reason to be suspicious. Suddenly, she heard a noise.
"Ring around the rosie pocket full of posies ashes ashes we all fall down." A female voice sang; it sounded like Karai.
"Karai? Is that you? Cause this is creepy even for you," April said while reaching for her tessen.
Marissa came out from the shadows her dyed blonde hair peaked out. "Hum do I really look like Karai? That's cool."
"Aside from the hair and the outfit, you do," April said while opening her tessen. "Who are you?!"
Marissa laughed she moved so fast it was like a flash. Her arm was twisted back. "I'm the step daughter of the Angel Killer. A ninja master skilled in the art of shadow and speed fighting."
"Let go of me!" April shouted, trying to get free.
She took her lessen from her. "Pretty weapon. Fast and deadly in the right hands." She kicked her knees.
April cried out in pain. "What did you do to Casey?!" She angrily asked.
"oh is he your friend? Well I guess it depends on how much you fight me." Marissa crually said. "Was it worth it hurting your friends? I mean."
"What are you talking about?" April asked, getting ready to fight.
"You're so mean. You hurt the turtles." She played with the tessen as she walked around her. "Get your own father mutated and blame them oh and when they try to help you, you ignore them further. I mean are you even worth being a friend with."
Her movements were fast hitting April first into the back. Then her knees and then onto her chest. Sending her to the ground.
April tried pushing herself back up, she was still in pain. Too much pain to move Especially with Marissa holding her down with her foot. She looked up at Marissa and asked, "How….. do you know…. about…. the turtles? Who…. are you?"
"My name is Marissa and you are a horrible friend. Friends protect each other, friends forgive each other, and friends help each other they can hurt each other but getting through it makes a relationship better." Marissa angrily said.
"You're…. punishing me…. fo a…. mistake?" April asked, still in pain.
"You punished them for a mistake, didn't you?"
"So why haven't you finished me off?" April asked, moaning.
Marissa looked at her. "You think I'm gonna kill you…. Seriously I'm teaching you a lesson and then I'm gonna kidnap you….so tell me do you feel the least bit bad for what you did to them?"
April was silent for a moment. And then she said, "I thought I had no regrets…. but I was lying to myself. Yes, I was mad that it happened….. Even sad…. But I don't feel good about holding a grudge. They were my friends….. Oh Donnie. What have I done?"
April was crying. It made Marissa a little guilty for hurting her so badly but she quickly covered her mouth with chloroform causing her to pass out.
"I think you might have overdone it, Mari," said Allison as she came out.
"At least I stopped. I was angry it was only normal I overdid it. Next up you take her to our base and I get the turtle." Marissa stretched playing with the tessen.
"Careful. April wasn't wrong about you looking like Karai," said Allison while picking April up.
"Yeah we could be twins. I'll be careful." Marissa stretched out with the weapon. She walked off.
"Although, you are pretty darn fast," Allison commented before leaving.
-In the lair-
The turtles were watching 'Super Robo Mecha Force 5' on TV like always. In this episode, the Princess was being held hostage by a new character that seemed to be an enemy.
Then they heard singing pretty singing from familiar voice. "Ring around the rosie pocket full of posies ashes ashes we all fall down."
"Uh, Leo, you did say Karai didn't know where we live, right?" Raph asked, while slowly reaching for his said.
"Yeah," said Leo, slowly turning around while gripping his swords. "I have no idea how she got here."
"And since when does she sing especially with that creepy song?" Mikey asked.
"Not a clue," said Donnie, shivering.
A shadow appeared across the room so fast it scared the hell out of them. Mikey even jumped into Raph's arms.
"Tick tock time will stop when it hits 11 o'clock you will die I will take your life when it hits 11 o'clock he come he plays all day the angel killer like to play with serial killers before he kills them today." The voice sang before laughing.
Mikey screamed and held Raph tighter. "Make it stop! Make it stop!"
"Look, Karai, or whoever you are, this isn't funny!" Leo shouted while looking around.
The voice laughed. "I find it funny. I bet April did too."
"I kinda doubt she'd find this fun-" Donnie started to say and then realized what she said. "April?! How do know about her?! What did you do?!"
She appeared in the light. "That's a good question. A better one is what could we do with her if you don't follow our instructions?" Marissa giggled.
"We?" Leo asked in surprise. And then shook his head. "It doesn't matter. You better let her go. She hasn't trained here in a while, so she's a civilian."
She walked around a bit playing with a tessen happily. "Why would we do that? Then we wouldn't get what we want."
"What do you want?" Raph asked in annoyance.
"Splinter." Marissa fanned herself with the tessen.
"Our sensei?!" Leo asked.
"My step father was an amazing man to some, a serial killer called the Angel Killer. He'd kill others like him and leave a little mark on their heads. He was also a ninja master." Marissa folded the tessen.
"If you want Splinter, why kidnap April? She' innocent!" Donnie barked.
"I don't like hurting innocent people honestly my step father found it disgusting but he'd do it if it would catch the game he was after. A trap of sorts. I often was used to catch petifiles."
"I don't wanna sound judgy, so I'm not gonna say anything," said Leo. "Plus, we have another matter at hand."
"Say it I've heard it all." Marissa turned her back to them. "Besides it won't matter what you say to me."
Leo gulped and said, "I kinda find his methods….. highly…. questionable."
"True. But men like that would often rape kids like me or worse… So my dad taught me to lure them into the alleyway then he'd hit them on the head and he'd drag them home torture them….. Then kill them. I always had nightmares. I could hear them scream." Marissa bit her lip at the terrifying memories.
'Yikes,' the turtles thought.
"I-is that your plan for Splinter?" Raph asked
"Hum no not at all. Actually your father's a lot better than mine… I mean mine protected me…. Killed horrible people but in the end he was arrested by the police for saving many lives that woulda be lost to those people." Marissa wiped away her tears.
"I'm sorry about your dad," Donnie sadly said.
"Step father. I was adopted after all. Anyways I have no real plans on harming your father but should he not meet us at this address within three hours my friend will end up either harming or killing April she isn't very nice when she wants to be. I have a conscience she ignores hers." Marissa took a breath to calm herself her parents aren't the best parental figures but she still was raised in that environment.
The turtles were now very nervous. They had no way of knowing if the girl was bluffing or not. With April at stake, they had no choice but to follow Marissa's instructions. Leo stepped forward to receive the location.
She gave the location. "Your sensei is the only one who can come if anyone else shows up she will be harmed or killed." She walked away.
"Leo, I don't know that we should trust her," said Raph.
"Raph, she and her friend have April. We don't exactly have a choice," Leo reminded him.
"So what? After what she did to us, did to Donnie, should we really go after her?" Raph coldly told him.
"I'm not turning my back on her!" Donnie yelled. "I-I still care about her!"
Splinter came into the room. "What is with all the noise."
The turtles looked at their sensei and Leo said, "Sensei, April's been kidnapped. The one who took will only release her if you go to this location. And you have to go alone."
"Which won't happen because we're hiding behind him." Raph said in a cold tone.
"Raph, are you nuts?!" Mikey asked. "They might find us out!"
"Nope I'm going. You can stay if you want but I'm going. The girl with the serial killer for a step father isn't a good idea to be alone with."
"He's got a point," Leo admitted to Splinter. "Her step father was a ninja master, and she's crazy sneaky. Plus, she implied her friend might be more dangerous."
"Fine but be careful." Splinter told his sons.
-At the location-
The turtles hid in the tree when they heard music again one of them was knocked down.
"Raph!" Mikey cried out.
"Ring around the rosie pocket full of posies ashes ashes we all fall…." Marissa appeared hitting the tree knocking them down. Splinter turned to see her. "Down."
"You know, I think that nursery rhyme might be ruined for me," Leo groaned.
"Weapons on the ground." Marissa hummed walking around slowly.
"Make us," said Raph.
Marissa sighed then a scream played with April's voice. Little did they know it was screams of laughter.
"Oh my god! April!" Donnie screamed. "What did she do?!"
"Maybe she sliced her open. You did disobey her."
Reluctantly, the turtles dropped their weapons on the ground.
"You too master Splinter." Marissa smiled gently at him.
Splinter added his own weapons to the pile, wanting to avoid any further harm to April or his sons.
"Okay you and only you come inside if your sons follow I can't guarantee my friend won't hurt her. I can't control her after all."
"Wait here, my sons," Splinter ordered them. They nodded and stood by. Donnie was especially fearful for both his father and his crush.
Once Splinter and her enter through the doors Splinter saw Allison tickling April.
"Will you knock it off already?!" April said in between laughs.
Marissa was laughing herself. "Sorry. We needed your screams otherwise they wouldn't have bought it. I find this better then what happened between us before."
"I give! I give!" April cried out between laughs.
"Okay. I've had my fun," said Allison. That was when the turtles poked their heads inside. "Busted."
"Are you kidding me?! She wasn't even in danger!" Raph angrily shouted.
Marissa laughed a little louder. "This was so worth it. Sorry but we had to get your sensei here."
"Seriously?!" Leo asked, pretty upset himself. "You had us all scared half to death! What possible reason could you have for all this?!"
Right on cue, a woman stepped out of the shadows. Splinter gasped when he saw her, as did the turtles. Their jaws even dropped.
"Well we brought Tang Shen back from the dead and we didn't believe you would just come if we asked. Especially with how I look." Marissa gestured to herself.
"Yeah. That is kinda questionable," said Donnie. He crossed his arms. "I'm still mad at you, though."
"Yeah kinda figured. I'm Marissa by the way and yes I was tell if the truth about my step dad being a serial killer." Marissa pulled out a flask.
"Was the thing about your friend ignoring her conscience true?" Raph asked.
"When it comes to hacking and assholes yes. But no she listens to it a lot of the time."
"You don't sound upset by this," Mikey said to Allison. "She had us think you were a murderer."
"I'm not," said Allison. "I told her to say what she needed to get you to take her seriously."
"I'm a flawless actor. Don't you think I kinda have to be when I got a serial killer alone? I remember saying hey mister can you help me my sister fell down and broke her leg or my brother easy pray for some of them."
"That was convincing," said Leo. "But I think I'm a little into this right now."
Everyone turned around and saw Splinter and Shen standing in front of each other. Shen was looking into Splinter's eyes, as if trying to see if it was really him.
She smiled and hugged him. "Yoshi. My Yoshi."
Splinter hugged her back. "Shen. My love. You're alive."
Marissa took a sip of her flask. "Such a lovely reunion."
"Can I have a sip?" Mikey asked.
"No. This is my feel better medicine."
"Oh. You're sick?" Mikey asked in concern
Leo looked at her in surprise. "Uh, Marissa, is that…. Alcohol?"
"Yep the fun stuff." Marissa took another sip.
"You're…. Drinking?" Leo asked in surprise.
"Don't give me that look. I have a lot I need to forget. And numb." She took yet another sip.
"You're too young for that stuff!" April shouted.
"I'm too young to have sex too but I'd be willing to with one of them." Marissa said gesturing towards the turtles. Allie took a swig as well.
"You both drink?!" Raph asked in shock. "You look like your fifteen or sixteen!"
"Sixteen and don't give me that bullshit." Marissa took another sip.
"Guys, this is a little concerning," said Donnie.
"Shut up, whiney! Go bug someone else!" Allison barked. "You try living our lives and see how well you handle it."
"Yeah just be happy we don't take drugs or pain killers." Marissa added.
"This isn't exactly a good substitute," Donnie muttered.
"Look just take Shen and get out of here." Allison coldly told him.
Shen walked over to the girls and said, "You are both welcome to come."
"Why would you want someone as broken as us?" Allison asked confused.
"So we can help you," said Splinter, standing beside his wife. "Maybe you two just need a family again."
Marissa put down the alcohol and looked at Allie. "Maybe they're right."
Allison put down her own flask. "Maybe they are. And it's not like we really have anywhere to go."
"Ok."
Splinter and Shen smiled as they extended their hands to the girls. The girls took their hands and stood up.
"Let's go home," said Splinter.
