The marriage of the Avatar should be the most extravagant celebration of the century. It is the subject of gossip worldwide; one cannot be anywhere without hearing some tidbit about him and his fiancé in hushed whispers of Avatar, Lady, Avatar, Avatar, Avatar. Every second between the Avatar and his betrothed has been observed by watchful eyes ever since the moment she accepted.
But save the talk about the Avatar and his affianced. Forget official titles; forget rabid fangirls with delusions of Kataang. Ignore the almighty being that was the Avatar and his headstrong Waterbender; instead, think of the simple monk and the caring tribeswoman. Think of it not as the marriage of "Avatar Aang" and "Lady Katara," but as the union of just Aang and just Katara. After all, behind their accomplishments, they are ordinary people with ordinary desires: privacy, an intimate wedding with those close to them standing as witnesses, and their love for each other.
