The room was cold and damp but that didnt bother the young brunette as she lit a few candles. She hugged her thick grey cardigan as the candles lit up the room a little. "Hey Atem" Tea begun, her voice shaky. "I hope your doing well" she stuttered, this was harder than she thought it was going to be! "I cant belive how long its been. im sorry I havnt visited lately, ive been a little busy in New York. im finally getting closer to my dream though, I landed a spot in a sleeping beauty play which includes doing the waltz"
Tea paused for a moment imagining him saying words of incouragement. "money has been tight but my parents help me out sometimes. Yugi has been great support, I speak to him over Skype but I wish I could see him more often"
Biting her lip Tea looked at the hieroglyphics etched into the wall of the dark Chamber, "its kinda a conicidence that i came on this day" she gulped trying to find her words, "because there were many times i wanted to tell you how i felt, but there was never a right time". she walked over to a slab of stone and laid own a bunch of roses she had bought, "because the truth is Atem, I loved you, I still do. your the first person I think about when I wake up and the last person I think about when I fall asleep"
"Oh Atem" she cried out slumbing next to the wall trying to feel closer to him. The Hieroglypics spelt out his name. Ishizu had found the small chamber on one of her expeditions as a shrine to Atem that Priest Seto had built to honour the Pharaoh who saved everyone from the Dark One. Somehow she felt closer to him being there.
A buzz in her pocket caught Tea's attention. She quickly wiped away her tears so she could see her phone screen clearly. It was just an alert to tell her that her flight back to New York would leave at 9am tomorrow.
Before Tea locked her phone, the date burned into her eyes.
14th February. Valentines Day.
Why was love so unfair? She would never love another because Atem had stolen her heart and taken it with him into the afterlife.
