A/N: Swore to myself I wouldn't write anything else until the end out the season, but this idea would not leave.

The Man with the Lion Tattoo

She stands frozen in the courtyard, watching father and son play, oblivious to the world around them.

Her heart heaves painfully when Roland sheriks with delight, moving just out of his fathers' reach, darting past the fountain. Robin wears a matching grin, cutting off Roland's escape routs bit by bit, conering his son to one side of the marble fixture. Trapped to one side of the fountain, Roland seems more enthralled with the game as his grin grows. He charges forward suddenly, while Robin wears a mock look of surprise before quickly rasing his arms to fire off a pretend arrow.

A small smile pulls at her lips when Roland flails about in response and Robin follows suit almost move for move. Without hesitation the boy throws himself at his father, crying happily when Robin lifts him up over his head.

His arms extended up and sleeves rolled back, the air leaves her lungs in a rush as he spins, the black ink prominent on the inside of his wrist.

The lion tattoo shines with all its glory and the realization hits her hard. The man standing before her is her soulmate.

"Your majesty?" Robin calls, breaking through the haze, his jubilant look now marred with concern. "Are you alright?" He asks, lowering his son down to his hip.

"What are you doing out here?" She finds herself snapping at the man before her.

Robin blinks in surprise, clearly taken aback by her tone. "I apologize if we've intruded-"

"You have," she informs him with a snarl, body tense and lips curled. Robin only watches in confusion as the anger bubbles up uncontrollably. "And you've overstayed your welcome, I suggest you find the front door."

Without waiting for a reply, she turns and storms from the room, still unable to breath.

She doesn't need him or his child, all she wants is Henry.

A/N: so at first I was upset that Regina and Robin weren't a couple back in FTL than I realized it was actually a good thing because than she would have had someone to sacrifice for the curse. I really felt that Regina was also overly catty towards Robin in FTL as well and the comment she made towards him about bathing in the river clearly bothered her. I really felt that because of this it's likely she saw the tattoo and is pushing him away because she's still mourning the loss of Henry. I'm sure when the episode airs I'll be proven totally wrong, but I hope you all enjoy nonetheless.

Reviews are much loved!
