I will be updating this story quite recently, every few days or so. In this, Annabeth and Percy are normal teenagers, not demigods, in their freshmen year. Sit back with some popcorn and enjoy :)

Annabeth' PoV

Today is the day I'm starting with my new school.. Honestly? I'm not excited.

Why not? Still down after my breakup with Luke..

He keeps on rubbing it in my face with Drew! Ugh!

And the worst part is, I'm not sure when I'll see my best friend again, Thalia.. I'll miss her so much..

'Annabeth!', I heard my step mother say, 'Get up or you'll be late!', I frowned and stumbled towards the bathroom. I guess I've gotten used to having a step mother, we've been getting along pretty well lately which I'm glad about.

Once I went down to breakfast, I suddenly got tackled by someone from behind: 'Annie!', someone behind me said, I immediately recognized the voice: 'Thalia!?', I shrieked, 'What are you doing he-', she cut me off by pulling me into another hug: 'My parents let me go to Goode with you!', she screamed, 'That's amazing Thals!', I screeched and we went to school grabbing some toasts from the breakfast table.

It turned out that we had all of the same classes accept from algebra, which was during our third period. Once the bell rang, we went into our first class which was English, our teacher was Mr. Blofis. 'Blowfish?', Thalia asked, 'I'm pretty sure it's Blofis', a voice behind us laughed. We turned around to find a tall guy with raven hair and sparkling sea green eyes. 'Percy!', Thalia exclaimed. I looked at her with a slightly confused expression: 'This is my cousin, Percy Jackson', she said and reached for my hand saying: 'Nice to meet you', I shook his hand saying the same. 'Percy, this is Annabeth, my best friend', she said and went to stand by my side once again.

After English, we compared scheduals. Him and I had everything together accept from Science, which he had with Thalia. We went to our next class, which turned it to be P.E. We were going to play dodgeball when I noticed something horrifying:'Drew', I mumbled under my breath. Percy must've seen me staring because he came up to me with a confused expression: 'Something wrong?', he asked, 'It's.. nothing', I said quietly. Thalia must've noticed Drew aswell, because she walked up to me saying: 'This is going to be a long year..'

After P.E, Percy and I had algebra together while Thalia had biology. We walked to our class talking about ourselves and our past mostly, though to say, I left out the part about Luke and Drew. It was a painful subject.. Once we walked into class, he sat down on a table near the window and motioned for me to sit next to him. Suddenly, a red haired girl sat down next to him and started flirting: 'You wouldn't mind me sitting next to you, right?', she said sweetly. She would've been gorgeous, but she had too much makeup and barely any clothes on.'Rachel, how many times do I have to say this?, I am not going to go out with you.', he said sternly whilst standing up and finding another spot. 'What was that about?', I asked him.

'She has been trying to get me to go out with her since I can remember', he said angrily. 'Who can blame her', I said quietly while blushing furiously, he laughed and took my hand once the teacher came in.
