Hello, readers! Welcome to my first story on this site! I'm Ellie Summers! It's nice to meet ya!
Before you continue I'd like to let you guys know a few things!
1.) This story is going to be series of one shots of Harry being an overprotective, overbearing brother to Hermione. It's going to defer (I think that's what I mean) from the series in some ways. I'm going to add some things for a dramatic effect.
2.) I'm most likely going to be typing this from my phone so there will most likely be a bunch of errors.
3.) In this story, and any future Harry Potter stories I write, Hermione is black. Reason for this is in my bio. Don't like it, don't read it.
4.) This chapter is just a little prologue/introduction but I promise other chapters will be longer.
5.) I really hope you enjoy and feel free to review feelings and reactions!
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter and do not claim to. If I did I would not about to be going into thousands of dollars in debt to receive my college education.
Now! Onto the story!
For years, people have assumed that Ronald Weasley was the friend that Harry Potter was closest to. They assumed that Ron was the friend that he give everything up for. The friend that Harry would be completely and utterly lost without. The friend that held a special place in his heart that nobody else could fill.
Well you know what they say about assuming, right?
All of those people were wrong. Sure, Ron was Harry's best friend and Harry cared about him dearly. But Ron wasn't the one who stuck by his side through thick and thin. He wasn't the one to deal with Harry during his mood swings. He wasn't the one who Harry could tell everything to, even the really rough things. He wasn't the one Harry wanted to lock away and hide from the world so they wouldn't get hurt.
No. Ronald wasn't Harry's closest friend.
That title belonged to Hermione Granger.
Hermione, who did everything Ron didn't and even more. Hermione, who Harry couldn't stand not being around. Hermione, the angel that graced his life. Hermione, the first person to tell Harry that they loved him and actually meant it.
Harry loved and adored that girl to death. So much that not long after knowing her he vowed that he would always make sure she was safe and happy. So much that she wasn't just his best friend but his sister.
