There was a trainer. A pokemon trainer. His name was Lucas. He came from Twinleaf Town.

Winter was the season. It was very cold out and I was in my blue jacket and cravat-like scarf. I was sitting on the porch, talking with my Chimchar.

"Thanks for keeping me company. And warm." I patted the head of the tiny chimp. "Chim!" replied the fire-type, tail glowing brighter.

I walked from the porch to Lake Verity and sat down on the grass, seeing migrating Starly, Staravia and Staraptor in the sky. I held Chimchar closer, the cold was getting, well...colder.

"Luke!" I heard. A girl's voice struck my ears. I looked back and saw her-the person I've been daydreamily waiting for and the girl I've been admiring since I met her in this very place-Dawn, the perky assistant of Professor Rowan, waving to me.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, squatting next to me.

"Nothing in particular. You?"

"I just delivered a parcel for the professor" she beamed

I stood up and started to look for some fire wood. "Where're ya going?" she asked

"Getting some firewood."

After finding said wood..."Chimchar, use Ember!" then the wood caught on fire. I sat back down with Chimchar and she moved close to the fire, sitting closer to me. Warmth rushed to my cheeks.

Then came that familiar awkward silence. "Hey, you're shivering."

"N-no I'm-m f-fine"

I knew the fact that she wasn't fine. So, instinctively, I took off my scarf and handed it to her. "No. If you give me the scarf, you'd be cold too." She replied, pushing the scarf back to me.

"How bout my jacket?" I offered, taking it off.

"N-no." She said shivering. I laid the jacket on the floor. I started to wonder why she wasn't leaving yet.

"Then what do you want to do?" She just moved closer to me. Probably just to reserve some body heat.

Then. Silence.

"So...how's it going?" She asked

I just shrugged.

She then proceeded to lean her head on my shoulder. I then proceeded to cuddle her and share her my scarf.

"Thanks Luke." She quietly said, moving closer.

Then, Chimchar just moved near us, sleeping in my jacket and closing the zipper and leaving his tail outside to not burn my jacket. I drifted off too.

Waking up after five minutes, I saw Dawn sleeping on my shoulder as the winter sky started to grow dark. The fire went out. Good thing we had Chimchar.

"Hey, Dawn." I shook her gently.

"Huh? Did I..?" She woke up, drowsiness in her voice.

"Yeah, we fell asleep."

"So..."

"So..."

"Wanna hang out tomorrow?"

"Sure." I woke Chimchar. He jumped on my head.

She now used my scarf. We walked home, wrapping her arms around mine and waving goodbye as we split ways

"Bye Lucas! Here's your scarf."

"Give it back tomorrow." I said

She nodded in thanks and walked away. "Dawn!" I called. Lucas, it's now or never.

"Hey, I know we've been friends for so long and well..." I started, scratching the back of my head.

She then smashed her lips on mine. We kissed for 10 seconds but it felt like , we gave in to our respiratory systems.

I just looked her in the eyes as our foreheads and noses were touching.

"You never finished." She told me.

"Love you." I said to her ear

Then, she pulled me into another deep kiss.
