The dying sun's destiny

Prologue
A black cat ran across the hard concrete ground, throwing herself against a creamy yellow tom, purring. The tom rubbed against her stiffly, his collar's jingling unnoticed. "Shadow, I know we've been mates for a few moons, but I have something to tell you..." The tom said nervously. "I have something to tell you too, Blake!" Shadow meowed, her eyes bright. "I'm expecting your kit!" She mewed excitedly. "WHAT! I- I can't... Sorry Shadow, but I can't be your mate any more... I wanted to tell you that I've found another she-cat, and I most certainly can't be a father. She's fantastic, and a house cat, not a filthy rogue who spends her day scraping through trash cans. Sorry Shadow, but good bye." Blake slowly walked off, trying not to look back. Shadow watched him, her heart slowly breaking in two, her mind turning hazy. She stared angrily at her stomach, her unborn kit. "This is your fault! If you weren't going to be born, he probably wouldn't have left me for that soft kittypet! You will PAY for this!"
