Author's Note: I originally was going to make this Pinkie Pie's POV, but then I decided to give this to our favorite pony, Derpy. Please do not steal the poem I wrote.

Derpy Hooves (C) to MLP:FiM Creators and Hasbro.

Hide and Seek

I'm forced to play,

Even though I'm reluctant.

This happens every day

And there's no way

I can stop.

I want to stop, but alas

I cannot.

I'm forced to play and play

Until I can't take it anymore.

When I play, I have to hide,

Only when they're around.

I have to hide and hide

Until there's no one around.

The only time when I

Don't have to hide

Is when I'm alone

And when I'm home;

But only if nobody's home.

When I play, they seek.

When they seek,

I have to keep hiding.

The reason why is because

They cannot see the real me.

Can you take a hint now?

The way I hide,

I'm forced to wear a mask.

A mask full of every lie.

I may look happy

On the outside.

But I'm not; it's the opposite.

Deep inside,

There is no bright sunshine;

Only a dark raincloud

And that's something

I'm not proud of.

I'm forced to fake

Everything, like

Laughter and a smile.

Even my scars

That I've kept for more

Than a while.

When they seek me,

I have to hide.

When they ask me,

I'm forced to lie.

Even though I look like

I'm smiling and laughing

On the outside…

I am scowling and crying

In the inside.

And this happens every day.

Like a cycle.

I'm forced to play this game

And I cannot get out.

No matter how much

I want to stop

Playing this game,

There is no way for me

To escape.

Unless if I'm ready

…Which I'll ever be not…

To yell, "here I come"

I have to stay in this game

For eternity.

My name is Derpy Hooves.

And sometimes playing a simple child game… can be painful.

Can you feel the same way as I do?
