Summery: A story about the night Harry's parents died. . . yeah I know there are a lot of them. I heard this song and I thought it would make a good songfic. Well here it is.

The Potters were just finnishing dinner when a cry was heard from the next room. The two adults sighed, but neither moved to go calm the cry.

"James, darling I do believe that it is your turn." Stated a pretty red head from across the table.

"That is where you would be mistaken, my dear Lily," replied her husband from across the table, "For you see, while you were at the store our beloved son felt to go to the bathroom 2 times. . . ."

"And you count that as your turn," intrupeded Lily. "How very convenient for you." She responded while getting up.

"I'll get your dishes." Said James. He gave his wife a quick kiss on the lips as she walked out of the room.

'Alright, you just ate, so you can't be hungry,' Thought lily as she picked up her son and brought him to his room. "Oh why are you being so fussy Harry?" Sighed the women with exasperation. But she soon got her answer, for her son gave the biggest yawn he could muster.

Lily smiled "Ah, bed time I see." Harry only gugled in reponse. " Hmmm what song shall it be tonight, Harry? Hmm? Oh I have the perfect one." She sat down in a rocking chair and began to rock back and forth. Soon she began to sing. . .

"A gentle breeze from hushabye mountain

Softly blows o'er lullaby bay

It fills the sails of boats that are waiting

Waiting to sail your worries away."

Soon Harry was sound asleep. She kept singing as she laid her child down in his crib and tucked him in.

"So close your eyes on hushabye mountain

Wave goodbye to cares of the day

And watch your boat from Hushabye Mountain

Sail far away from lullaby bay."

"Now, why don't you ever sing for me?" Came an amused voice from behind her.

"Because you don't require it to sleep," She replied as she kissed her son on the head.

James laughed as he extended his hand. "Come on I made dessert!"

Lily walked towards him with an amused look on her face. "You made dessert?" she questioned.

"Yes I did. It is very hard to put that ice cream bowls, let me tell you," answered James.

"Hmm, I believe you," said Lily as she snuck one last glace at her son's sleeping form before she closed the door.

So close your eyes on hushabye mountain

"Its him! Lily take Harry and run! Now!" Yelled James.

Wave goodbye to cares of the day

A sound of a thud. As she slams the door shut, and runs over to Harry. The door breaks open.

And watch your boat from Hushabye Mountain

"Please, not Harry! Please!" She begs

And then a flash of green.

Sail far away

And then a flash of green is what answers her pleas.

from lullaby bay

Disclamer: I don't own Harry Potter. This would've been better if I did (or the books worse, you can choose.) I don't own the song Hushabye Mountain either. The version i'm listening to when I wrote this was being sung by Stacy Kent.

Well what do you think? Bad? Ok? Good? Please tell me!
