Meet the Cartwrights
Ben Cartwright, Adam, Hoss, and Little Joe were just sitting down to eat breakfast, when they heard somebody knocking at the door.
"Little Cartwright, could you please answer the door?" said Ben to Little Joe.
"Sure papa Cartwright, I would love to." As little Joe Cartwright got up to answer the door, Hoss put his foot out and tripped him!
"Haw haw haw haw!" chuckled Ben , Adam and Hoss . Angered, little Joe then jumped up and scurried over to the door. He opened it, and a tall, thin man with a mustache came prancing in.
"Ben Cartwright, Ben Cartwright!" yelled the man.
"Yes? What can I do for you sir? My boys and I were just going to eat breakfast when you came." answered Ben.
"I found out that the man that's going to marry my daughter is a murderer! What should I do?" cried the man.
"My name is Ben Cartwright. These are my sons, Adam Cartwright, Michael Cartwright, and Hoss Cartwright. What is your name?" asked old Ben Cartwright.
"My name is Walt. What can you do about my daughter, Hortense?" said the man.
"Hoss, isn't Hortense astupid name?" said Ben Cartwrightto his fattest son, Hoss Cartwright. "Who did her fiance murder, Walt?" Right about then, Little Joe pulled out his gun and chased Walt off the Ponderosa.
"Good work, Little Cartwright" said Ben, and he pattedLittle Joeon his back.
An embarassedLittle Joe then replied, "Thank you, Lorne. Just trying to help." They all sat back down at the table and began to eat.
About half way through the meal, Little Joe Cartwright asked old Ben if he could tell them stories about when they were little boys. "No." replied old Ben Cartwright. "Haw Haw haw haw haw haw!" laughed the Cartwrights as they awaited their adventure.
