Oliver Shaw had no idea what he was doing. He had some inkling of what he had to do as Acting Staff Sergeant but this desk chair was some kind of alien contraption sent to earth to irritate him on his first day in his new job.
Inspector Jarvis barreled into the Staff Sergeant's office; causing Oliver to cease his battle with the desk chair.
"Inspector." Oliver greeted cautiously.
Jarvis sat down in the chair facing the desk and placed a file in front of Oliver.
Andrea McNally - Personnel File
Oliver sighed quietly and leaned back, ignoring the ominous creek that he had been futilely trying to fix.
Jarvis picked up the file and opened it as if he was reading a bedtime story. "Officer McNally." He nodded his head. "There is no doubt she's a good cop. Took down an armed kidnapper as a Rookie, Undercover Operation for 6 months resulting in a major bust and countless other take downs."
"She is a good cop."
"It also says that she was suspended for 3 months due to Conduct Unbecoming."
"And she was reinstated." Oliver defended hastily.
Jarvis looked skeptical. "Detective Swarek was the other officer involved. The same Detective Swarek involved in the Kevin Ford debacle. He was also her Training Officer."
"Not at the time." Oliver told him. Jarvis raised his eyebrow. "McNally and Swarek were both suspended but that was over 2 years ago. She followed all the rules of the suspension and learnt her lesson."
"Nevertheless this doesn't look good."Jarvis stated.
"McNally is fully capable to train Officer Moore."
"Are you sure about that ?"
"I am."
"You better hope she is Shaw. As Staff Sergeant it's on you if this goes badly." With that Jarvis left taking the file with him.
Oliver sighed and put his head in his hands. Andy had no idea what she took on. At least he hadn't said that she couldn't train him. She just had to not screw up. Well, not screw up too badly.
A/N Sorry this is so short. And so bad.
