Ariel blinked her sea blue eyes for a moment, feeling very… depressed. The last few days, she had felt very ignored and unimportant. It had been quite busy around the castle. She was simply just there. Melody was spending the week under the sea for a little vacation, Eric had lots of meetings and was scarcely around the castle, Carlotta was training new maids, Grimsby was busy trying to organize a sort of baby shower for Ariel, though Ariel knew he didn't really care.
She sighed and reluctantly headed down the stairs glumly, wrapping her robe around her bulging belly as best as she could. Sometimes she wondered if anyone would even care about the baby, Eric included. She couldn't explain it; it was just a feeling she had.
As usual, the main floor was very hectic, people rushing around everywhere. No one said a word to the redhead as she walked towards the back of the castle, hoping to maybe go to the shore for the day. Alone. As usual.
She spotted Eric, surprisingly, talking to Grimsby in the dining hall. She passed right by them, but they continued chatting away. Just more proof. She finally reached the back door and was about to open it when she heard Eric from behind her. "Hey!"
She paused but didn't turn her head. In a moment, she felt him wrap his arms around her and pecking her on the cheek, smiling as if nothing was wrong. "How are you and the baby?"
Ariel said nothing but turned her head, glaring at him coldly but dully. "Don't act like you care." She pulled his hands off of her and walked out to the beach, sighing once more. Eric didn't even bother coming after her, she noticed.
She was just a girl living in the castle. No one really cared for her. She knew that. Grimsby and Carlotta only acted like they did because she was Eric's wife. Eric didn't really love her; he was just desperate to get married. Even her Daddy, she knew, didn't really care about what she did. He was so willing to let her become human. He'd been looking for a way to get rid of her, considering she was such an annoyance.
The former mermaid carefully and slowly sat down in the sand, with much effort. For all she cared, Ursula could come right now and snatch her away. She wouldn't fight it. It's not like she would get any help, anyways. If she disappeared, it would make everyone's lives a whole lot easier.
