I heard a loud 'crack'
Pain coursed through my body
Someone was speaking to me
I tried to focus on his words:
"Your breathing will become shallow,
Your heart rate will slow,
And darkness will surround you"
Now it was getting harder to breathe
I try to find where the voice was coming from
I look up and for the first time, notice that I am on my knees
I look up at him, into those cold eyes, full of hatred
Then he spoke again:
"you made me do this.Why did you come?"
He screams and tears started to streak his face
"Now everyone you know will know how it feels to lose someone they love."
He starts to lower the gun but reconsiders
I started to go numb and my breathing was slowing
"Do you want me to end it?" he asks
His voice is drowned out by the sound of shots fired along with a voice:
"suspect down"
I realise that it is Brass
"Sara!hold on!the paramedics are almost here!"
I now realise that I am in someones arms
I look up and see that it is Nick
"hold on for me" he says
But the welcoming darkness is coming
And I don't fight it
It's time to let go
I cant hold on any longer
Looking at Nick I whisper "I love you"
I am lifted up by an angel into the heavens
And there is no more pain
