Ariel stood by the window in the master bedroom, looking out on the ocean anxiously as she rocked Hayden in her arms. Eric had gone out on a trip with his crew for the day. This morning, the weather had been perfect, and Ariel persuaded him to go spend some time with the other men. He had spent all his time since Hayden was born watching over him and helping Ariel, which Ariel greatly appreciated. However, she knew of his great passion for sailing, and there had been many perfect days where he could've left, but instead stayed home with the baby.

He had been out all day, and it was getting close to the time he was expected to arrive back home. However, a large thunderstorm had covered the kingdom, causing the waves to get extra rough. Since the storm had started, Ariel had been waiting anxiously and worriedly to see the ship appear; but so far, it hadn't, and Ariel was only growing more and more concerned.

Thankfully, Hayden didn't seem too afraid of the thunder, otherwise Ariel would have another problem on her hands. She felt him jump a bit in her arms when another boom rattled the skies, but he didn't start crying. It must be due to his mother and father's backgrounds.

Suddenly, Ariel heard a panicked voice from behind her. "Your Majesty.. The.. Prince Eric's ship has started flooding. We need to send help!" Grimsby said, eyes wide.

Ariel felt her legs shake, and her heart dropped. Without thinking, she rushed over to Grimsby and put Hayden in his arms, racing down the staircase. "Send another ship out for help! And make sure someone watches over Hayden!" She ran out of the castle after kicking off her shoes, ignoring the downpour that greeted her, and noticed the dark outline of the ship. She ran right into the ocean, holding her locket and singing. As soon as her legs were completely submerged in the rough waters, she transformed, and without a second thought, began swimming quickly towards the ship.

Going as fast as her fins would take her, Ariel splashed through the stormy waves, until finally she got close to the ship. She gasped at the sight of it beginning to tip over, and all at once the crew began to jump off, yelling to each other. Ariel scanned them for Eric, and finally she saw him make the jump. He was the last one off, but the ship crashed over the area where he landed, making Ariel scream. She dove underwater again, seeing his unconscious body drifting in the water. She grabbed him and pulled his body up to the surface, praying that he was okay. The other crewmates saw her swim off with their captain, and they knew that she was bringing him to safety.

Ariel was beginning to grow tired as she swam, holding her husband. But thankfully, he was breathing, which relieved her. It was still raining, but she pulled him up into the sand, watching him and waiting for him to regain consciousness. Despite all that had happened, she smiled a little to herself as she was greeted with a very familiar memory. Brushing his hair off his forehead, she began humming their song, putting her hand gently on his cheek as she waited. "Come on, Eric," she whispered. "Wake up, honey."

For about 10 minutes, nothing happened, and Ariel bit her lip with worry as she studied her face. But finally, he coughed, and he eyes fluttered open to see Ariel's smiling face. "Huh, well doesn't this look familiar," he chuckled with a raised brow. "You've saved me again, Miss Mermaid." Ariel shook her head at him with a grin, lowering her head to kiss him.
