So i'm not sure if anyone will actually read this since Fmab isn't that popular anymore but.. I rewatched old episodes of the show and fall in love all over again and decided to write an Almei story because there's not alot of them out there!

First FMAB FF so please bear with me if anything is incorrect

So this takes place two months after the after the promise day

"Do you really have to go Al?" Ed asked for what I was guessing was the tenth time since we had first arrived to the train station an hour and a half ago, and once again I sighed knowing that this conversation would soon end with me and Ed fighting over why I shouldn't even go in the first place.

"Ed. I told you this is something I really need to do!" I sighed loudly and look over to my older brother who had his arms cross like a child, Then again.. This was Ed we're talking about here, even if he has grown up a lot since the promise day there's still times that the old Ed shows and this is one of them.

"We're just going to miss you Al that's all, I mean after all the years you and Ed tried getting your body's back (and you did) we all kinda thought you both would stop traveling, at least for awhile anyways." Winry had said from beside me. I could see were my childhood best friend was coming from though, after years of Ed and I Traveling everyone thought once we had gotten our original bodies back that we would stop traveling for a while.

I think two months without travelling was enough for me. I guess I had gotten so use to constantly moving that not traveling made me miss it.

"I know, and i'm going to miss you all too, but going to Xing to study Alkahestry is something I really need to do." I said and look at the ground guiltily. Damn it Ed, why the hell do you have to make me feel so bad!

"Just promise you'll be safe Al." It was Ed's turn to sigh loudly.

"I promise I will brother." I smiled and put my fist in the air, Ed bumping his into mine just like old times.

I'm sure going to miss this while i'm in Xing,but there's no turning back now, Mei and the others were waiting for me in Xing.

The train whistle blows letting me know that it was time to go. I stand up and turn to Winry who embraces me in a tight hug tears now rolling down her cheeks.

"Hey, don't cry win, I'll be home before you know it!" I ensure her before letting go.

"I know.. Be safe Al and come home soon,ya hear!" I nod my head then turn to Ed who stood there unsure of what to do. I laugh which made Ed look at me weirdly.

"I'm going to miss you brother." I said softly and pulled Ed into a hug.

"Me too Al." but before I could answer Ed the train lets out another whistle indicating it was ready to leave. I said my final goodbyes before hurrying to catch the already moving train. Good thing me and Ed always jumped on trains last minute back when we were trying to get our bodies back.

I turn back and watch as Ed and Winry soon vanish out of sight, and for the first time since I got my body back i cried.

Few days later.

I had finally arrived in Xing and I couldn't be more excited.

I step off the train and look around for someone i know, since Ling said he would send someone not being able to come himself being Emperor of Xing after all. Unfortunately though, I didn't see anyone i knew among the crowd of Xingese people.

"Hi, are you Ambassador Elric?" A Xingeses girl with long black braids asked.

Ambassador?

"I'm Alphonse Elric, Yes.. but where on earth did you get Ambassador from?" I asked a small laugh escaping my mouth. The Xingeses girl looked at me for a second confused before finally answering all my questions.

"I'm Lian Chang, Princess Mei Chang is my cousin." She smiles and grabs my briefcase from me."Mei wanted to come meet you herself but she got caught up in Court." Lian said giving me a reassuring smile as we began to walk out of the train station and towards the palace.

The walk to the palace was certainly anything but quiet as Lian filling me in on the customs and history of Xing, and I must say, it was all very interesting to learn.

after all that is one of the reason I came to Xing, to Learn everything I can about Alkahestry so I can help people like i could've help Nina.
