Hey :) So I'm back with another Skye centric one shot. This one is about her relationship with Coulson. Honestly, one of the most beautiful relationships on this show is the father daughter relationship that Coulson and Skye have. Considering, she had never had a father figure in her life, it's seriously heartwarming how Coulson automatically took on that role. This takes place in SEEDS, after Coulson informed her that she is an 0-8-4. I wrote that could have happened before Skye told Coulson that "her story started here."

I don't own anything, just my writing. I don't own the show. I don't own the character.

I hope you all like it :) Reviews and feedback is appreciated!

She was scared. No, she was terrified. The newfound information that Coulson had shared with her were too much to bear.

She was an 0-8-4, an object of unknown origin. Meaning, that not even S.H.I.E.L.D. knew who she was, where she came from or who her parents were.

She was responsible for the death of an entire village. She was responsible for the death of her parents. She was responsible for the death of a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.

So much loss of life and it was all because of her. How could she even move past this, she asked herself as she began to cry in front of Coulson, her boss, the man she grew to love like a father. She was a danger to him now. She was a danger to the entire team. She could not stay. She could not put the people who had become her family in danger.

Suddenly, she felt a hand on her arm. Coulson was trying to comfort her. She flinched his hand away then started pacing around the room, as thousands of thoughts were flying around in her mind.

As she paced, Coulson could visibly see her brain working at a thousand miles per minute. He knew that this information would be too much and too sudden for her. Her life long search had let to stories of murder and death. But he also knew that this secret should not be kept from her. She needed to know the truth. She deserved to know the truth.

As more minutes passed of Skye pacing around the room, he could tell that she was at war with herself. "Skye, just calm down. We could figure this out together. We could find out more," he spoke softly in attempt to calm her and also assure her.

Skye then stopped pacing and faced the older man. "Calm down? Sir, I'm literally responsible for the death of thousands of people, including a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent!" she exclaimed, her eyes looking bewildered. "I shouldn't even be here right now. I'm dangerous. I'm a danger to this team. Who knows what I could do!" she yelled. "I can't calm down. How can I calm down, dad?" she gasped and closed her mouth right away, realizing her mistake.

She had not meant to call her boss 'dad.' She just was not thinking straight.

She whispered, "I'm sorry," then turned around to run upstairs into her pod.

Although before she could make it anywhere, she heard Coulson call out her name.

She turned around and saw the man, who she had just accidentally called 'dad,' had his arms out, a smile on his face and tears in his eyes.

She quickly ran into his embrace. Clutching onto him, holding onto him for dear life.

"I'm scared," she whispered as more tears flowed freely and soaked his shirt.

"I know," Coulson whispered back as his grip around her tightened. He kissed the top of her head and was rubbing her back; all in an attempt to comfort the girl whom he had come to love like a daughter.

Skye's cries turned into violent sobs as Coulson kept trying to comfort her. This man was the first person to ever believe in her. He was the first person to ever truly care about her. That is why, in one of her most vulnerable moments, she allowed herself to be held and comforted by him as sobs wracked her body.
