Poem based on a study in pink. All started when I realised park and Iraq rhymed, oh well things got out of hand I guess. Read away!

A Study in Pink

John meets old friend Mike Stamford in the park

He's introduced to Sherlock who asks, "Afghanistan or Iraq?"

He has to go fetch hid riding crop from the mortuary

And tells John to meet him at 221B

The next day John arrives at Baker Street

Moves into the flat and Mrs. Hudson he meets

DI Lestrade says a victim's left a note

The first from the serial suicides, "Oh its Christmas," Sherlock gloats

In Brixton John admires Sherlock as he thinks

But where is the case of the woman in pink?

Going home John meets a man, who could he be?

Has an umbrella, says he's Sherlock's arch-enemy.

Sherlock can't find the phone but he's found the case

A call after the text means it's in one certain place

They stakeout at Angelo's, John's not his date

Trail a cab but they're wrong, Sherlock's filling with hate

Back at the flat Lestrade leads a drugs bust

Sherlock tracks the phone despite Anderson's mistrust

The cabbie turns up with the phone; Sherlock knows what must be done

Quickly leaves with him, won't say where he's gone

At the school they play the game with two pills

Sherlock deduces the cabbie is ill

The cabbie claims this is set up by Sherlock's fan

Sherlock wonders if this is part of a bigger plan

Sherlock is just about to take the pill

When John makes the shot that will kill

Sherlock demands to know who his fan could be

With his last breath the cabbie screams, "MORIARTY!"

Lestrade clears up the mess; Sherlock says he's in shock

So that nobody knows it was John who saved Sherlock

The umbrella man appears, talks to Sherlock about mother

Turns out he's Mycroft, Sherlock's older brother

The two men start to exit the crime scene

"We can't giggle!" John says, that would be seen as obscene

Sherlock tells John about Moriarty

They decide not to worry and head back to 221B.
