Nightpaw walked around camp, her warrior ceremony was that day and she was excited, even though it had been rainy lately. She noticed her young warrior friend, Redsplash, this was also her soon to be mate. Nightpaw padded up to Redsplash, "I'm so excited!" she exclaimed. "I remember when I was made a warrior, it was the best day of my life!" Redsplash said. "I hope it's the same for you!" he said. Nightpaw nodded.

The two cats headed for the fresh kill pile, Redsplash pulled of a squirrel while asking, 'Want to share?" Nightpaw nodded to excited to speak. They ate in silence, watching the Clan.

A yowling sound came from the distance, all the cats jumped up alarmed. A cat came racing into camp, he barely managed to gasp out the word, "Flood." This sent the Clan in madness, gathering apprentices, grabbing kits, leading elders, the camp was a mass of whirling fur.

The leader called for calm, in the chaos of the Clan. All the cats obeyed listening for his orders. "We shall move camp," he said confidently. "I have been informed of a save path to higher ground, we will go from there," he announced. The leader began to give out orders "You gather the apprentices. You handle the elders. You the queens and kits. You scout the camp at the end," he said, handing out all the jobs.

When everything was ready the leader signalled for the Clan to follow him. He lead them out of camp, when they saw the wreckage it sent gasps and mutters of horror through the Clan. There was water lapping at the edge of the camp. The leader signalled for his deputy to watch the back, and headed forward.

The Clan stayed at the edge of the water for some time, before he turned in the direction away from the water. At this time a thin drizzle had begun to fall, soaking through their pelts.

The leader had his eyes peeled for any possible camp, but it was Nightpaw who noticed the temporary camp. "Over there," she said, signalling with her tall to a pile of large rocks, there was caves underneath, where they could sleep.

The leader nodded wearily and padded over to it. He began issuing orders to prepare the camp.

Later that night as Nightpaw thought, she realized that she hadn't had her warrior ceremony.
