Gob Bluth knew that Tony knew him well when he didn't hear the frantic clicking of a button when he stood near the door Tony was on the other side of. That clicking would have been the tell tale sign of someone trying to push the door bell despite the fact that there was still no electricity in sudden valley. So when he heard a knock at the door he knew that Tony cared. It was that or that Tony had gotten used to knocking after the month they had been "together" , although Tony had taken a forget-me-now after every time they had had "normal" sex for the first week which led to much confusion until Gob finally persuaded him to "let it slide", so it wasn't technically a month.
Gob opened the door and was greeted by Tony hiding behind a bouquet of colourful flowers. "Hey!" Tony shouted joyfully as he popped his head from behind the flowers. " How'd I get there?!" They both laughed, even if it wasn't really funny and Gob made his normal awkward crooked grin and this made Tony smile. Then they just stared at each other and smiled for a while. Finally after what seemed like at least 45 seconds Gob cleared his throat and asked Tony to come in and asked if he wanted a hard lemonade.
So they sat and talked for a while. They stared off talking about upcoming illusions they had planned and that moved to the topic of dead doves and with all that talk of death it eventually lead them to the topic of family.
"So does anyone in your family even know about you?" Tony decided to ask hoping it wasn't that touchy a subject. It was. Gob took a deep breath and big slug of hard lemonade. " Umm." He giggled awkwardly." Ya no... My parents couldn't be more homophobic and there's no way i'd tell Micheal. He's always looking for something to pin on me."He took another swig of the inebriating lemonade. "Well since you don't really have any friends (ouch) maybe you should tell someone..." Tony suggested. Gob thought about it although he didn't really see what good it would do. He thought about everyone in his family. Parents? Big nope. Michael? Nope. Lindsey? right-wing politician running for congress? Nope. The only person , he thought, who would really understand would be Tobias, for obvious reasons. 'I guess I could tell Tobias"
So the next morning after cleaning up and sneaking Tony out , making sure Michael wasn't anywhere to be seen, he did.
