CHAPTER 1
Water filled in around him, encasing his body and filling his lungs. His brain stripped of the oxygen it so desperately craved and finally darkness took over. Was he dead? Perhaps but he didn't feel like it. His body ached something fierce and his head throbbed in pain. Blinking and struggled to look around but his vision was nothing but a blur. He could hear the sound of metal scraping against metal ring through his ear drums and cause a shutter to run right down his spine. "Where am I" Were the first words out of his mouth but there was no one. No one but him. The screeching sound of metal nearly burst his ear drums and a cackle soon followed. "Look boys, we got a fresh one" A voice hissed from the shadows. He sat up, rubbed the back of his skull which still throbbed with pain. He felt something dripping from his nostrils and brought his hand up only to wipe off semi-dried blood. What had happened to him? His optics were instant drawn to distinct AD on the back of his right hand. "AD?..." He pondered for quite some moment before hearing the horrific sound of metal once more. Standing up he looked from left to right. "Hello! Who's there!" He cried out in demand but got no response other then a laugh. He looked around the ground for something.
His head moved quickly with a shadowed figure. The only thing he could make out were two distinct glowing hooks. Looking around again he realized he was in something. The hooks smashed against the front panel window causing it to shatter but not break. Stepping back, he needed to find something to use as a weapon until he could figure out what was going on and better yet where he was. Suddenly the floor beneath him began to shake and he held onto the side of the sphere shaped vessel he was in. He heard a loud crash and peered through the shattered window."What on eart..."Before he could finish his sentence the body of the hooked figure was smashed into the panel with such force that the body came through and he managed to step aside just in time to be out of the line of fire.
"Boy was that close"
With much hesitation he stepped out of the submarine like vessel and looked around. The place was a complete wreck. Walls were weathered from water damage, the concrete aged and washed out. Rubble littered the ground in small to large piles. "What happened here?" He said quietly to himself. Moving forward he continued to look around. He froze when he thought he heard something. Static? "quuuuuuuuhhh" His foot landed on something, and upon making an inspection he realized it was a radio. Picking it up he gave it a quick look over. Shrugging his shoulders he pushed the button on the side and brought it to his lips "Hello?" He asked, knowing there was probably no one there. All he got back was static. He shrugged and threw it behind him. As it hit and settled on the stone floor it crackled before the static disappeared. "Hello? Was someone there" A voice came from the device. Spinning on his heels his eyes went wide and he quickly, he reached down and picked it up. "Hello, yes im here. Who are you?" He asked. There was a pause and for a moment he believed he was only hearing things. Sighing he went to rest the radio back down on the ground before static kicked in and he got another response.
"That's not important right now, what's important is keeping you alive Dewitt." Quirking his head he didn't say a word. His name was Dewitt, at least he had that to go off of for who he was. Pushing the button he leaned in. "How do you know my name. Where am I? and who are you?"
