Author's Note: This is a new fandom I am venturing into, but couldn't get this out of my head. I'm not sure that there will be other stories with this pairing or not. I'm actually surprised there aren't more out there for them. Anyway, this is the first story in a VERY long time that I am actually posting. I've been out of the fanfic thing for quite some time, so I am a little rusty, please forgive me. Some may like this, some may not. I hope you do. I also have only been catching UB reruns so I'm still a little lost on a few things, but I worked with what I had...

Unhappily Happy
Marc is happy for Justin, isn't he? "Yes," he tells himself. He is happy for the boy. In some ways he considers Justin a somewhat "mini-me" of himself. He sees himself in the boy and to see how far Justin has come and to witness his bravery first hand and self love, yes, he is happy for Justin. To see Justin with Austin, well... "yes' he tells himself again. He is happy for Justin.
Marc is happy that Justin has the support of his family. That makes him smile and yes, he is truly happy about that. He has had "pats on his back" from Justin's family for helping Justin and being a mentor to him. He for once, feels like he's done something good, something positive. Justin is thriving with his newfound openness. Marc is happy about that.
Justin has a boyfriend. He's happy for him for that, isn't he? He is. "Yes" he again tells himself. He's convincing to the rest of the world (with one exception). He's not so convincing to himself. Justin doesn't talk to him as much (and very recently, hardly ever). But he's happy about that. He didn't need some kid around cramping his style anyway, right? He has his own life to live, right? He did his good deed. Helped Justin grow into his own skin with pride and bravery (not that Justin really needed him for that). Justin is a butterfly now and has flown away. He's happy for him, isn't he... Yes...
Except as happy for him as he is, Marc is very unhappy about it. He knows it is a situation he couldn't be in. Justin is way too young. He may have an issue with boundaries, but that is one he won't and can't cross. So, he is happy for Justin. He has to be happy for Justin. Besides, the age difference between them, even if Justin was old enough, Justin would probably laugh at the thought of them being together and trying to have a healthy relationship. So, "yes", Marc tells himself, he is happy for Justin. If so many things were different, maybe then he would or could be happy in a different kind of way, but life is what it is. Reality is what it is, and because of that, he is who he is and how he is. He's happy. He is unhappily happy, but still, he is happy.
