It had been less then 24 hours after the Digidestined had managed to defeat Apocalomon, and returned to the real world. Tai Yagami had decided to take a walk to clear his head. He walked quietly through the streets of Odaibia thinking about the advantures he and his friends had, and the Digimon partners they had left there. 'Agumon I miss you already.' Tai thought to himself. As he came upon a small bridge he saw a girl with light brown hair and brown eyes standing on the side. Her name was Mimi Tachikawa, and she was another member of the Digidestined.
"Hello Tai." Mimi said as she noticed him. Tai could sense a level of sadness in her voice.
"Hey Mimi." Said Tai. "What are you doing here?"
"Oh I was taking a walk and I just got to thinking that's all." Mimi answered.
The two just stood there in silence for several minutes. Finally Mimi began to break into a fit of sobs. "Palmon I... I miss her so much and it has'nt even been a day yet." Mimi then sunk to her knees as her sobbing intensified. "I... I feel so alone."
Mimi then felt a pair of arms wrap around her. She opened her eyes to she that Tai was on his knees also, and giving her a hug. "Mimi you're not alone. There are a lot of people who care about you. Like your parents, and the other Digidestind. I miss Agumon too, but our friendship is still there, and there's still a chance we might see them again someday."
"You really think so?" Mimi asked.
"Of coarse I believe so." Tai responded.
"Tai... What about you?" Mimi asked.
"Huh what about me?" Tai asked back.
"Do you... Care about me?" Mimi inquired.
"Yeah... Yeah I do." Tai answered while praying that Mimi would'nt notice his blushing face.
"Thanks Tai that's just what I needed to hear right now." Mimi said. "I gotta go home now, I'll see you later." With that she planted a quick kiss on Tai's cheek before breaking into a mad dash back home. Tai simply sat there for another minute with a stuned expression on his face before craking a huge smile on his face.
Perhaps normal life was'nt so depressing after all.
