" The House Next Door"

It was Halloween night 2000. Five of the best friends ever formed: Michael, Melissa, Jane, Ethan and Gwendolyn a.k.a. Gwen, all desperately wanted to go trick-or-treating however every year as long as they could remember, their parents would refuse to let them go because of the paranormal activities that happen every year at this time in the neighborhood. Some believe that these activities are mainly caused by someone or something that lives in the eerie-looking house next door to Ethan's house; others believe that this whole neighborhood is just plain creepy.

However, this year was entirely different from the previous ones. Both parents of the five friends finally decided to let their children go trick-or-treating; it was a decision they will very soon regret. The day started out like an other; the friends all went to school, came home, eat a delicious afternoon snack, do their never-ending supply of homework, and eat dinner(only this day, they decided to skip dinner); then at about six-thirty in the evening, they all went to the mall to shop for their costumes.

The boys had picked out some really spectacular costumes: Michael chose a Spiderman outfit, Ethan chose a Batman outfit and the girls all chose the Powerpuff Girls outfit; and they all looked fabulous. After they picked out their outfits, their parents drop them home so that they could change into the outfits; by eight O'clock, they were out the door and ready to go trick-or-treating.

For the first few minutes of their house-visiting adventures, everything was going as normal as it possibly can be(they received a lot of candy and said their gratitudes) until, they circled around their block for the second time in a row and stopped by the house adjacent to Ethan's. At first they were skeptical about ringing the doorbell but, when they rang it, their worst fears simply vanished into thin air. Standing in front of the door was a girl(about three to five feet tall, weighed about one-hundred and fifty pounds and aged from ten to thirteen years old).

She said "hi, how may I help you on this fine evening"; we replied "trick or treat." What she said next, blew us away; she told us that she did not know what we were talking about and that we were out of our minds. If you think that was odd, what happened next will surely amaze and even astound you.

The girl then vanished into thin air like some ghostly-looking figure. We did the only thing we knew how and, that was to run as fast as possible to our homes and tell our parents. At first they didn't believe us but as time went on, it became clear that the house next to Ethan's was in deed HAUNTED!
