Chapter 1: The New Kid
Today was the first day of school for everyone but it was Joe's last year.
"Hey everybody" greeted Sora
"Hey" greeted everyone back except Mimi who wasn't there yet.
As they were talking a kid was walking by them towards the principal's office.
They original digidestined looked at each other and said "New kid"
Rrriiiiinng
"Well see you guys at lunch" Tai said
Everyone went to there classes. Tai, Matt went to Calculus, Izzy and Sora went to P.E. and Joe to Physics.
Meanwhile in the halls…
* I can make just have to pick up my pace a bit * Mimi thought as she ran down the halls to her homeroom. She finally made, but she was 3 minutes late. She opened the door and made her way inside. She saw that the teacher wasn't there yet.
* I got lucky this time * she thought to herself. She looked around and saw Tai and Matt in the back talking.
"Mimi over here" Tai said as he waved to her. She took a seat next to Tai just as the teacher walked in.
"Sorry for being late everybody I had a late meeting" the teacher said
"Well I'm Mr. Sakazaki and this is Calculus" just as he finished the door opened and the kid Tai, Matt, Sora, Izzy, and Joe saw earlier walked in. He had brown hair that was combed from the middle, he was wearing a baggy white t-shirt with a hood under an open polo shirt along with a pair of baggy JNCO jeans and Vans.
"You must be Mr. Jae Kusanagi." The teacher stated "Yes" the boy answered
"Well take a seat a seat next to Matt. He's the boy with the long blond hair." Matt raised his hand and pointed to Jae seat. Jae walked down the aisle until he approached his assigned seat.
"Hey man, I'm Matt Ishida" Matt greeted "'Sup, I'm Jae Kusanagi" Jae greeted back
"Kusanagi, why does that sound familiar… wait a minute, is your dad happened to be Kyo Kusanagi?" Matt asked "Yeah" Jae replied "Cool." Matt exclaimed
"What kind of stuff do you like to do?" Matt asked
"I skate, I write songs, and write the music to them, then when they're done I play them for my 13 year old brother and 5 year old sister." He replied
"Cool"
"Jae and Matt pay attention to the lesson." The teacher yelled
"Yes sir." They said
At lunch the group were talking about all sorts of stuff when Matt saw Jae walking from the lunch line he called him over to their table, along with Kenji and Darin from his band.
Jae walked over to the table and Matt introduced him to everybody including the band.
"So Jae, Matt here tells us that you write songs and music." "Yeah so" Jae said
"Well we we're wondering if you'd join our band as a vocalist." Darin explained
"Well…" Jae said as they stared at him waiting for an answer "…okay"
"Cool, well we have practice after school in the gym because we have an assembly tomorrow to welcome everybody." Matt said, everybody started talking except for Mimi who was staring at Jae dreamily. Sora saw this and started to giggle which made Mimi snap out of her trance.
"What's so funny?" Mimi asked "You like Jae don't you" Sora said grinning, as Mimi blushed "No I don't" Mimi denied "Yeah, whatever" and with that the bell rings.
