"Thanks!" Korra said chirply, as the drink in her hand swirled around inside the glass.

Asami threw her a "little" party (which apparently "little" to her, meant half the city) and there were happy conversations and laughing all around the rented venue. Korra smiled as each guest complimented her dress and congragulated her for her engagement. She tiredly approached a nearby sofa against a red wall and slumped down.

"You look beautiful, Kor! And congrats!" Asami complimented as she, too, sat on the sofa but with better posture.

"Thanks Asami. But I'm worn out..." Korra replied as she rubbed her arms. "And I thought this was suppose to be a small party..." Korra paused, looking at the hundreds of talking guests, then continued. "Like a little get-together."

Asami shrugged as she played with her hair. "I can't help it. You're getting married, okay?"

"Yeah, yeah." Korra answered annoyed.

Asami leaned in to Korra's ear, and whispered, "Mako looks a but off edge about this whole wedding, huh?" Then she pointed her slender finger to Mako's direction, who was leaning up against a wall with some kind of dink in his hand.

Korra gave a confused look at Asami then looked where her finger was pointing. And well, sure enough, he looked like he didn't want to be here.

"Ah, I'll cheer him up." Korra said as she got up. She walked over to Mako as her heels clicked and clacked.

"Hey...Mako." She said a bit quietly.

Mako slowly looked up from his feet and met her eyes. "Oh, hey Korra." He swirled the drink in his hand then took a sip.

Korra moved her hair (which was down) from her neck to reveal a shiny blue betrothal necklace. "As you can see, I'm getting married!" Korra said, smiling in glee.

Mako though, did not smile in return.

"What about us, Kor?" He replied with his brows furrowing.

Korra crossed her sleaveless arms annoyingly across her chest. "My spirits, Mako. I thought we were done with this. There's nothing left!"

"What do you mean? Did you forget what we had?!" Mako yelled where as guests began to stare at him and the bride-to-be.

"Mako, that was two years ago! Get over it!" Korra shouted, now placing her hands on her hips.

"What if I can't? What if...I love you too much?!" Mako blurted, then covered his mouth quickly. "Korra, I..."

Korra looked at the tiled floor below them...then stared back at Mako. "Then keep it to yourself." Korra answered meanly.

"Do you...do you love him more than me...Korra?" Mako asked, but immiediatly regretted his question, afraid of the answer.

"I do." Korra said without a pause. "I do love him more than you, Mako."

Mako's throat tightened. "Well, he'll never love you as much as I love you."

Korra looked at him, unconvinced.

"Fine, sorry for uhm...making a scene. I should go." Mako said, as he left the large fancy building.

Korra's eyes widened in somewhat horror as she looked at the front door close loudly, and the whole venue going quiet.

"Sweetie?" Korra heard as she looked around

Her fiané placed a sweet kiss on her cheek, which made her day a bit brighter.

Ah, another wedding story, what's wrong with me?
