School is almost out and I will finally have time to write. It was so hard with school I would start to write then something would come up. This is a little short to get me back in the mood of writing. I promise to continue my other story soon. Please read and review!

Chance for Change

Jennifer Shepard sat silently in a black car, just out of the beam of light streaming from a street light. The street was a familiar one, for she had visited it many times years earlier while still working with him.

Two years, it had only been two years since she started as director. She, from the moment she laid eyes on him that day in MTAC knew that she could not deny that there was something still between them. No matter how hard she tried she could not deny it. The night that he had called her, telling her he needed a partner for the night to back him up, she secretly wished that it had really been for the first thing that came to her mind, sex.

There had always been a strong physical attraction between them. For the first few weeks after starting as director it took immense amount of power to resist him every time they were alone. It still took power now, but not as much. Still, somehow she had ended up in front of his house tonight.

After some time the dark street was stirred by headlight of a rater fast moving car. It pulled into the driveway and he stepped out. He briskly walked up the driveway and opened the door ( of course without using a key) stepping into his house.

Just as she sat forward ready to go up to the house she stopped and just sat back. There was still one thing that she had to deal with... Hollis Mann. It is not that she did not like her as a person. Hollis was another hard working, respectable, and overall pleasant woman. Still Jen hated her for having him. She was not even a redhead! For her not to be a redhead was scary for Jen. He must really have a connection with Hollis if he was straying that much from his type.

She took a deep breath. "Calm down Jen, it is going to work out." she said out loud to herself for possibly the hundredth time that day. She counted to three and stepped out of her car. Walking up to the door her hand began to tremble.

She opened the door and walked to the basement stares knowing that he was most likely already aware of her presence. As she descended the stars he turned. He smirked " Jen, thats a surprise." and returned to working on his boat.

She took a seat behind him on the stool next to his tool bench. Silently she waited for him to say something, finding she would not be able to start the conversation seeing she was so nervous. After a minute he turned to her "So, Jen, what are you doing here? No business to attend to?". She smiled feeling a little more at ease "Can't I just stop by to have a conversation with my former partner?" she questioned him with the same smirk. He smiled at her "Sure, what about?"

She looked down at her feet "Us." she said simply. He put down the sander he was holding. " Before you say anything let me" she stepped forwards, " I made a mistake. A really big mistake, and I want to fix it but I don't know how. All I know is I want you back Jethro. I want us to be together again. I loved you in Paris and I still love you now."

There was a moment of silence. It was the longest moment for her. There was so much riding on it. She looked down at the floor. The next moment she was in his arms, and he kissed her. A kiss that had all the passion of nearly eight years that they missed being together. A kiss that changed everything.
