So, don't ask how this came about, okay? Just read it and enjoy! I own no one involved.
"Sara, why are you so angry?"
She stopped and turned to look back at him, her eyes expressionless as she stared at him, through him.
"Why am I angry?" she asked, the tone of her voice chilling him to the bone, "Why? Let's think, you're the one that wants to play with games, with your friends every second of the damn day!"
He sighed, running a hand back through his short hair. He had figured it was because of his friends, more specifically Chris who was currently sitting on the couch, watching the events unfold.
"Alex," she said, drawing his attention back to her, "I can't take this anymore. The constant immaturity and lack of intimacy, it's not working out for me."
He stood still, staring at her before his voice dropped to nothing more than a whisper, "Are you saying you're going to leave me?"
She walked over to him and grabbed his shoulders, pressing her lips to his for a few moments before pulling back and stepping away from him.
"Yes," she said, the single word trailing in the air as she walked out the door. He stood in that same spot, staring at the door.
"Come on man," said Chris, standing from his spot on the couch, and walking over to him. "She's not worth it."
Alex sighed faintly, turning his head to look at Chris, "I guess you're right," he stated, glancing at the door, "She's not."
He moved to head back to the couch, but Chris grabbed him, and instead directed him towards the bedroom, shutting the door behind them.
Later that night, Alex lay awake in bed, staring up at the ceiling. He could hear the soft snores of Chris from next to him, and a faint sigh escaping him as he closed his eyes, dreading the fact that he had just broken up with the one woman he cared about more than anyone else.
I know loves what you left me with, But I can't believe you left me
