~Based on Susan Collins' The Hunger Games. I do not own or have anything to do with The Hunger Games, I am simply here to write a fanfiction! I hope you enjoy!~

We have been split into districts. Eight if them. Each specializing in a different talent or material! Once every year we have a reaping, two girls and one boy from each district go to the capital and fight to the death. We call it the Starving Games. One boy and two girls will win. They then move to the capital to be drenched in their fame of surviving! So all together there are 24 tributes. There is only one boy because we believe that men are needed more then woman to do labor work. Oh right! The tributes must be between the ages of 9 and 19! We do this because we have rebelled against our country and turned into this society. For the past 75 years we have done the Hunger Games. We rebelled against that and it turned into the starving games. It's the fourth annual Starving Games.

I myself am the president's daughter Bethany. I have two twin brothers. One named Colby and the other named Adam. We live in the capital and have the highest amount of security around our family at all times. Unfortunately our mother was diagnosed with lung cancer and passed away when I was 8. I am now 14. Colby and Adam are 16.

Because we are capital children we don't need to participate in the starving games. But our father travels around to all the districts constantly but most of the time we are not in the capital, we are in district 8 because they supply all the peacekeepers and president.

I really only have one friend, she lives in district 8. Her name is Alice. We have been best friends for as far as I can remember! She is 13. But the only thing that stinks is that she has to go to reaping. No matter how close she can't get out of it. My worst fear is her going to the reaping and then getting chosen. I really don't know what I would do!

Speaking of the reaping it is comming up on three days! Which of course means tons of traveling for us because my dad President Fall must speak at each reaping in each district and We must watch all of them! It's time to get ready!
