"You know," Philip started, drawing her into his arms. "Skipping out on your classes, sneaking away from the castle to meet with questionable company, that's hardly becoming of a princess."
Aurora laughed, lacing her arms around his neck. "Questionable company? Well that sounds rather intimidating, am I in any danger out here?"
"Never while I'm around." He responded, leaning his forehead against her own. A grin lit up her face at his remark.
"Then whatever shall I do if you aren't around?" She quipped.
"A very good question my love. I suppose the safest option is to keep you with me, always. For I fear there is no where else I'd rather be." He brushed a kiss against her temple as she fought off the blushcreeping across her cheeks.
"You promise?" She whispered shyly, fidgeting with the edge of his cloak.
"That there's no where else I'd rather be? Of course I promise!"
"No, that you'll stay with me always." Aurora glanced up at him almost hesitantly through her lashes. His heart hammered in his chest, sometimes he became overwhelmed at how deeply he felt for this woman. Unable to resist the urge to act on his feelings any longer, Philip leaned forward capturing her lips with his own. A hand came to rest against her hip, while the other threaded through her hair.
She hummed into the kiss, her fingers stroking against his jaw. After a few moments longer she broke away, leaning her head against his shoulder.
"You didn't answer my question." She joked.
"Sorry, you're just very distracting." He responded, pressing a quick kiss to her nose. "And the answer to your query is, yes I promise I will stay with you always. I would promise you the world if I could."
"I don't need the world Philip, just you."
"Then you are fortunate, because you have me. Everything I have to give is yours." He whispered, nuzzling against the juncture between her shoulder and neck. She smiled at the sensation, running her fingers through his hair.
"I love you."
"I love you too Aurora."
