Her Last Tear
Running.
That was all she could think of.
Keep Running. Don't stop.
So she did. She kept running. Deeper and deeper into the forest.
The only noise around her were her footsteps and her breathing.
She ran and ran, until finally she tripped over a root of a tree.
She fell to the ground, and didn't move. She tried to catch her ragged breath.
Once she calmed down, she sat up and leaned against a tree.
Listening.
That was all she could think of.
Just listen. Hear if anyone comes near.
So she did. She kept listening. Harder and harder in order to know whether anyone was near.
She listened and listened, until finally she heard it.
She held her breath at the sound of someone coming near.
She knew who it was. And he knew she was there.
Wanting to get out of the situation, there was only one thing to do.
Thinking.
That was all she could think of.
Just think. Find a way to get out of this.
So she did. She kept thinking Harder and harder, in order to get herself out of this situation.
She thought and thought, until it finally came to her.
She stood up slowly, making sure to not make a sound.
She grabbed her wand, moving slowly behind a tree to hide herself away from anyone's view.
Now, she just had to stay here until he left.
Hiding.
That was all she could think of.
Just hide. Hide until he goes away.
So she did. She kept hiding, longer and longer, in order to have this man gone.
She hid and hid, until she finally heard the footsteps walking into a different direction.
Slowly she came out of her hiding place, still clutching her wand.
Making sure that no one was around, and no one could hear her, she let herself fall on her knees.
There was nothing left in her, her strength, power, and bravery were all gone.
Crying.
That was all she could think of.
Cry. Let it out of your system.
So she did. She kept crying and crying until she was sitting on the ground sobbing.
She cried and cried until a pair of feet stood in front of her.
The person in front of her leaned down and raised her chin to look up to him.
She took in the person's features. She knew she wouldn't be able to hide from him.
In truth, she knew she hadn't been trying. She had to face it sooner or later.
She got up and faced him, the tears finally stopping.
"Do it" She whispered. "Just do it, and get it over with."
"No." He replied. "Not like this."
"Then how? My pride is all gone. I have nothing left. Just do it!"
"But you don't want me to do it. You wouln't have been hiding."
"Just shut up, and do it!" She yelled, trying to stop herself from breaking into a sob, once again.
"No."
"Do it, or I'll do it myself"
He sighed.
He got out his wand.
He raised his wand to point to her chest.
"Are you sure about this? There are other ways it could be done."
"I'm sure."
A tear single tear made its way down her cheek.
Her last tear.
Two words came out of his mouth. A big green flash was seen.
Her body hit the ground.
She was dead.
The man looked at her lifeless figure.
He bent down and wiped away her tear.
He closed her once life filled, happy eyes.
He got up, and left, leaving behind a life that was never meant to be.
He left behind the dead body of a young, innocent girl.
The dead body of Hermione Jane Granger.
