In a house in New York, a boy, about seven years old, blond, is in his bed, awake. Suddenly, a woman, in her middle 40's, also blond, opens the door. She approaches the boy and smiles.
"Still Awake, Ben?" She said.
"I can't sleep" the boy said "mom, can you tell me a story?"
"Of course, what story do you want to hear? The same as yesterday?"
The boy nodded his head.
"All right," the woman said, laughing
"In a day, unlike any other, five of Earth's mightiest heroes joined forces and formed a team. Together, they would fight against any being that a single hero could not defeat alone, they were the Avengers. The invincible Iron Man, the mighty Thor, The incredible Hulk, the Ant-Man and the Wasp. Over the years, other heroes have joined the group, such as Captain America, Hawkeye, the Black Widow, the Falcon, the Black Panther, the Scarlet Witch, the Vision and the War Machine..."
"And you and dad, right?"
"Yes, your father and me were members of the team, too. We defeated many villains, such as Loki, Kang, Ultron, Doctor Doom, Thanos..."
After some minutes, the kid fell asleep. The woman kissed his head, left his room and went to her room, where a man, in his 30's, with a beard, was lying in the bed. She lied next to him.
"Ben is sleeping" She said "He really likes the Avengers"
The man smiled
"Who doesn't like the Avengers?"
"Well, Kang, Galactus, the Green Goblin..."
"Yeah, you are right, but they are in the past. Now it's just you, me, and our kid."
They kissed each other.
"I love you, Peter Parker"
"I love you too, Carol Danvers"
