Little Kisa

She was always waiting, for that one moment when her father would say; "Yes, you can have a pet tiger." It had been a crazy dream of hers for as long as she could remember, and only her father, Ran, Miki and Su knew of this wish, though her father thought that she had grown out of it. She thought it would always stay a dream. But she thought wrong.

Amu had been on her way home from a weekend meeting with the Guardians when she heard a rumble from above. Looks like it'll rain soon. Why didn't I bring my jacket?, she mentally reprimanded herself. She chara-transformed into Amulet Heart with a cry of, "My Heart, Unlock!" and took to the skies. Unfortunately, halfway there the rain came pouring down hard.

"Oh, great. Just great." she complained, but froze stiff when she heard a curious cry. It sounded like an animal... A lion, maybe? But what would a lion be doing out here? I'd better go check it out.

She followed the sounds to a nearby park, but not the same one she and Tadase-kun once went to. This park looked abandoned with weeds growing everywhere. Amu finally reached a clearing, in which she could make out a big sort of cat -she couldn't see much through the rain- with three smaller ones huddled into it, she guessed that the big one was the mother and the small three cats were her children. But, if they aren't causing the noise, what is?

It when she moved closer that she noticed a fourth tiger, smaller than all the rest, trying to cuddle up to the mother as well, but she just pushed him away. Now, Amu was no expert when it came to animals, but she knew, from having a wildlife photographer for a dad, that the mother must have abandoned the little tiger.

She decided, right then and there, to raise it as one of her own.

Whew, Amu thought, I managed to get away. She had run out, wrapped a cloth around the runt of the litter, and flew off as Amulet Heart. she had gotten scratched by the mother in the process, but she was alright. She turned to the tiger.

"I can't keep calling you 'the tiger' all the time, you need a name. and to do that, I'm afraid I have to... check your gender."

After.. ahem, checking the tiger's gender, and discovering that it was a girl...

"I know what I'll call you! From now on, your name will be Kisa." Amu grinned.

Oh, now I have to convince Mama and Papa to let me have her. What to do...

Ran started cheering, "No worries, Amu-chan! Just chara-change with me, and I'll give them the best puppy-dog eyes they'll ever see!"

She really did! Mama and Papa let me keep Kisa, and I was so relieved! It just so happened that the guardians visited me the next day. Nadeshiko, Yaya and I agreed that Kisa was the cutest thing we had ever seen, and she warmed up to Tadase-kun right away, even going so far as to let him feed her. I'm so glad!
