A/N: Yes, I know this sucks. I also know that Springfield is in America, and Total Drama is in Canada. But who's to say they send Canadian juveniles to Canadian juvenile hall? Whatever, it doesn't matter. Just pretend "The Simpsons" and Total Drama are both in the same universe and country. Remember that episode "The Wandering Juvie"? Well, three years afterwards, a certain delinquent reflects on how picking on the new guy was what won a challenge. And yeah, this is from Duncan's POV, just an idea: "What if he was at the same juvenile facility when Bart got sent there?"

Disclaimer: No, I don't own anything of The Simpsons. Or Total Drama.

Of course we all picked on the new guy. It's what everyone did in juvie. Besides, the kid was a pushover compared to the rest of us. He was just this innocent ten-year-old who had some prank go too far, I heard. This was my second time in juvie and I was thirteen. So imprison me again, I picked on him. It was way too easy.

I even heard him whining to his parents on Visiting Day (no visiting time for me...I only see my parents when I'm sent to the police station nowadays). "It's horrible in here. The boys beat me up, the girls beat me up..."

I couldn't help noticing that his parents and sisters were all dressed up. Wow, I was right. The kid was no criminal, and had no idea how to survive here. It was kind of refreshing to see innocence in this place. And annoying. Mostly infuriating.

We were just playing Keep-Away with some clown doll he had, and then with him, when a new guard walked in. "Put that sissy down! If you're gonna pick on someone, why don't you pick on someone much bigger than you with a gun?"

"Dad?" the kid said. I didn't say anything (hey, I only had a lighter on me, no match for a gun), but I was thinking. Seriously? This kid's dad became a juvie guard to protect him? Kind of sweet...but sickening.

But when he went off duty after giving the kid a lollipop from the guards' lounge, it was time to start in again.

We called this tactic "rush the new guy". We all picked on the weak link, and that was it. I kind of felt a little sorry for the kid. Not. He'd soon go back to his cushy life in suburban bliss. I was stuck in this dump until I got out on parole.

And that tactic of picking on the new guy was what won our team a challenge when I got on Total Drama Island three years later.

It sucks, I know. But review, anyway, please?
