DBZ one shot

I've read a lot of stories of Gohan running away after the cell games along with his younger brother Goten. Yet in this fanfic what happens if Gohan runs away alone? When they finally meet, will their reunion be a memorable one?

Seven years after the Cell games

In CC there was a little boy with spiky black hair staring up at the cloudy grim sky.

"Goten, what's wrong honey," asked his very worried guardian.

"Bulma why does my family hate me," asks Goten while still staring up in the sky. Bulma was shocked at the little tyke's words she had a frown upon her face and forced a smile and began comforting Goten. And in all honestly Bulma expected him to ask this at some point but didn't expect it to be so soon. And how can Goten not wonder? His father died and refused to come back, his mother died once he was born and stayed with her husband, and then there's Gohan the night he was born, Gohan ran away. The little boy was all alone and the fact that the Briefs took him in only makes him feel worse. It makes him feel that they had no choice but to take him in. After an hour at staring at the sky he decided to go for a walk Bulma told him to be careful but Goten wasn't really paying attention. He wanted to go somewhere far, somewhere where he can feel even if it's only a tiny bit happy. The truth is Goten never smiled not since he found out about the family who abandoned him.

Goten somehow ended up in Satan City and as soon as he began walking the streets it began pouring. Goten thought it was alright. It would hide his warm tears falling from his face. But something happened it stopped raining on him. He looked up and saw that there was umbrella above him.

"You know it's dangerous walking the streets alone, besides you might catch a cold from this rain." Goten turns around and looks up to see your average looking high schooler, but there was something familiar about him.

"Go-Gohan?" The little boy asked as he stares at him.

"Goten?" He merely replies back.

Goten's shocked. He looks at him and runs the opposite way but he couldn't understand why his legs are moving on their own. What he really wanted is to face Gohan and ask him why. Why did he leave him? Why did he leave at the moment he needed him the most? Suddenly he was stopped he opened his eyes and saw the umbrella next to him and a pair of arms hugging him.

"I'm sorry. I know I could have been a better brother and I know that you needed me, and yet with all of your suffering I left. So please Goten, please forgive me." Goten got a good grip on his arms and cried like he never cried before.

"Gohan!"

Goten couldn't let go of his big brother's arms.

"Hey Goten why don't we go to my place, it's a little small but it's home. I'll call Bulma later to let her know that you're here." Gohan grabbed the umbrella and held out his hand to place Goten's hand. Goten looked at it and refused to take it. Instead he jumped onto his back and they started walking. Gohan couldn't see it but his little brother was, he was smiling and ended up going to sleep. Goten now knows that he won't be alone again.

I'm starting to work on DBX but I want it to be long and perfect because I really want this to seem like a series. So wish me luck and hopefully the first couple of chapters will be uploaded before 2015.
