I think chapter 1 will be out by the end of the day today. But for right now, this is a teaser. Well without further ado...
"Run faster!" he called as they ran through the field. The grip he had on her arm almost bruiseworthy.
Looking back, Lucy could see the flashlights of their pursuers, their shouts and curses resounded through the field. She was growing tired and slowing down. The tight pain in her legs told her to stop, but his grip on her arm kept her going. He kept her going. 'I can't stop! Not now'! Pushing her body even more, Lucy ran with all the power left in her until they broke out of the maze of the corn field. Breathing heavily, they looked back to see their pursuers going in many different directions. He sighed next to her, "I think we lost them."
*Bang*
Time seemed to stop all around her. The grip that kept her going the entire time slackened as he fell to the ground. Lucy knelt beside him trying to find someone way to help. He grasped her hand, "Lucy…run". She felt, rather than saw, the blood pouring from his side, saturating the ground. Starring into his eyes, those beautiful onyx eyes that shined with power and life, Lucy was horrified to see them turn dull. The hand that grasped hers slackened and then fell to the cold, wet, ground.
"Natsu!"
