A/n I saw that wasn't a lot of "Legend of the Five Rings (l5r)" so I thought I might as well throw out this idea of mine. This is not an actual story, but rather a basic outline of what the story may go. Writer are allowed to make any kind of change as they want as this is only an idea. Now on to the plot.
Plot/Storyline: A magical portal opens in the land of Everwinter and in the lands of the Shadowlands of Rokugan. While the White Walkers are patient, the inhabitants of the Shadowlands are not. They begin to pour out of the gate and began to wreak havoc and destruction upon the land. Rangers of the Black watch see this and quickly report this to the Lord Commander, who in turn call upon Lord Stark for help. He and his bannermen arrive in time to meet with the Wildlings (and their giant allies), and to join forces against this other worldly threat. Shortly thereafter, the armies of the shadow land appear and the battle for the Wall begins.
After a long and intense battle, the forces of the Shadowlands are beaten back, but at a great cost. Hundreds of thousands of men are killed during the battle, Wildlings, the Black Watch, and the Northerners. Thorin is severely wounded, Robb was nearly killed, and Jon barely survived his injures. Lord Stark send a plead for help to all of Westeros, in hopes for aid against this unknown foe. Ned's old friend, King Robert Baratheon, quickly answers the call. Soon, the other Lords follow and are shocked beyond all belief at the devastation from the battle. The Wildling leader, Mace, tells them about the gateway, where the demons had come from. Soon after an army/expedition was sent, led by Lord Stark and Lord Commander Jeor Mormont. They quickly find the gateway and, after much discussion, enter into the gateway, not knowing that they would enter into a new land, a land with great secrets, knowledge, power, of honor and peace, as well as a light that shines through the darkness, and last but not less, a great evil that not threaten one world, but both worlds.
What do you think? Pretty cool, huh. Also, whatever happens after they enter into the gateway will be up to anyone who want to use this idea for their own devices. However, they will need to get in contact with the Crab Clan, and there need to be a langue barrier between the two factions. Kingdoms of Westeros meet the Emerald Empire.
