This is the scene when Sam tells Jack about her being knocked up. But, I imagined her telling Martin, instead of the Jack.
"I'm prenant," Sam said.
"What?" Martin said, shocked. Floored. I couldn't have heard her right, he thought desperately.
"I'm pregnant," she repeated, softly, looking at the floor.
"I didn't know you were seeing anyone," Martin said after a pregnant pause, confusion and betrayal reading in his eyes.
Sam wrapped her arms around herself.
"Yeah, well…I just thought you should know," she said, sadly, glancing up at him.
At that moment, they both knew that things would never be the same again between them. It broke Martin's heart to see Sam in so deep. He wanted to help. But she wouldn't let him. He watched Sam walk away, her shoulders shaking slightly. Martin felt a tear run down his face. Damn.
