This is written for Teen Wolf Bingo on LJ, for the prompt prom/dance under Jackson/Danny.
This unbeta'd so all mistakes are my own.
Jackson glanced around him nervously, his movements becoming uncoordinated as he lost rhythm. He could feel the eyes burning on the back of his neck, making him tense with the self-conscious feeling it left him with. They were watching him. He knew they would be. He wasn't ashamed of who he was, who he loved, but the eyes...it was unnerving.
Strong hands enclosed around his waist, dragging him closer to a firm chest. He tensed for a moment but the steady circling of fingers in the small of back encouraged his muscles to relax involuntarily.
Danny smirked with amusement, eyes sparkling a little, and Jackson couldn't help but feel a little sheepish. He sighed heavily, ducking his head slightly until his forehead rested on the broad shoulder, taking comfort from the warmth.
Danny tilted his head to rest against Jackson's and carefully guided their feet into a simple dance. He should probably be annoyed that Jackson was still trying to hide, even as they stood so boldly in front of the entire student body, but he knew how much courage it took for Jackson to even get that far. To put himself out there to be judged and watched in a way he never wanted to be. His lips brushed over his best friend turned lover's cheekbone.
"Are you okay?" Danny wondered quietly. Jackson hummed in answer, not even lifting his head, so he continued a little worriedly, "Because we can leave now, if you want. I mean, you've already proved t-that this is real. You don't need to-"
Jackson cut him off, lifting his head. "No, not leaving." He stated firmly, a knowing smile crossed his face, "Besides, we haven't finished making everyone burn with jealousy yet. I've made my goal for the evening."
He grinned teasingly, sliding long arms up his chest and locking behind his neck, dragging Danny closer. He pushed back contently.
"You just love the attention," Danny shot back.
"I'd rather just have your attention," Jackson corrected.
"And you'll have it, for as long as you want it," he answered honestly.
"I'll always want it."
"That's because you're used to getting what you want."
"Guess you have a lot to do to keep me in the lifestyle I've become accustom to."
"Would it be really inappropriate if I make everyone even more jealous by kissing you?" Danny wondered, inclining his head closer.
Jackson licked his lips. "I'd encourage it," he replied, "And it isn't you they'll be jealous of."
Danny arched an eyebrow. "No?"
"Nope. As usual, it's me everyone wants to be," he answered simply, "Now are you going to kiss me or what?"
Jackson's only reply was a firm grip on the back of his head that dragged him forward until lips, soft and moist, crushed against his own. He muffed a noise of surprise, freezing for a moment, but he let out a contented sigh and melted into the hold.
The eyes were still there, bring the hair up on the back of his neck, but now, pressed so closely to Danny's hard chest, the comforting hand in his hair and the languid movement of their mouths and tongues against each other, suddenly the eyes and the criticisms that came with the stares, they just didn't matter anymore.
