Prompt: Arizona apologizes to Callie for all the horrible things she said post accident.

AN: I took liberties here because the prompt was so general, hope every one likes the path it went on.

Two very naked bodies laid still on the bed; the brunette fast asleep and the blonde watching her wife. Callie's hair was draped over her face before Arizona gently brushed it behind her ear. She listened to Callie breathe and wondered what she was dreaming about. The moon glowed through the window, painting a perfect silhouette on Callie's body. Arizona smiled to herself when she noticed a light bite mark on the brunette's collarbone from earlier that evening.

"Callie?" Arizona whispered in the dark but received no response. She gently grabbed her wife's hand and tangled their fingers together. The blonde started thinking about what they had been through over the past few years and she began to cry.

"I'm sorry I was distant and cold towards you. I never meant to hurt you. I was hurt and I took it out on you when really you saved me," Arizona's voice began to tremble as she so desperately held back the tears forming in her eyes, "You saved me Callie, and not just my life. You made me believe that love exists and I see it every day I'm with you."

Callie stirred in her sleep and Arizona held her breath, wondering if her wife was going to wake up or not. She waited a minute and noticed no other movement from the sleeping beauty next to her.

"I just…I can't imagine my life without you and it hurts-god it hurts so much- when I think of all the horrible things I said to you. How I held a grudge against you. We said for better or for worse right? You stayed by my side in my worse and I love you so much more for that. I am never going back to that again okay? I will never hurt you again, I'll never lash out on you again and I'll always be there for you and Sofia."

Arizona paused, she listened to her heart beating and she listened to Callie's heart beating. She let the stillness of the room consume her. She began to think about her life before Callie had appeared, and she couldn't remember a lot worth remembering. It was like her life had started only when her wife entered it.

"You know that feeling people talk about, the emptiness that is just there and they aren't quite sure how it got there? You don't notice it all the time, it just hits you one day and you're stuck wondering why you feel so lost. I think everyone is born with it, that emptiness, and it can only be filled by something indescribable. We all call it love, but I think it's more than that. You made it go way; you consumed me in the best way possible. You complete me Callie. I never want to know that feeling again and I'll do everything in my power so that you don't either. I love you Calliope."

She gently leaned over and placed a kiss on Callie's forehead before turning over on her side. It only took a few minutes before Arizona was asleep and Callie laid in the dark with a smile on her face.

What did you guys think? Let me know? :)
