Hello. So uh, this is my first fanfiction. First of all I gladly accept criticism (I just ask that it's constructive rather than mindless insults) I will be doing multiple fanfictions based on Re:ZeroXDragon Ball/Z/Super (not GT because most people hate GT anyways), keep in mind I will never add lemon scenes or anything of the sort, I don't mind ships but it won't be heavily involved (not a big fan of romance and writing lemon is just something I can't do). Some fanfictions similar to expect in the future are Goku crossing into Re:Zero, Gohan doing the same, Broly doing the same, and maybe characters not Dragon Ball related but I can't say for sure on that (but most likely because it would be boring otherwise). As I'm sure you know this will start with Vegeta. And no Vegeta will not be replacing Subaru, I felt it would be better if Subaru stayed around for this (especially because this version of Vegeta already had a wife and child and wouldn't be interested in Emilia).
So first I want to explain which version of Vegeta this is and how strong he is. So this will be a minor spoiler for the start of the fanfiction but this will be Majin Vegeta but without the Majin symbol giving him powers. Majin Vegeta was equal to if not slightly stronger than SSJ2 Goku who Vegeta himself said was stronger than Gohan when he fought Cell, who were both (Gohan and Cell) stated in multiple guides, games, the anime/manga itself, and other sources to be solar system busters (it even happened in one the games if you lost to Cell I believe), which can be supported by other statements and feats, there is also many examples of characters in Dragon Ball Z being far beyond light speed I shouldn't even need to waste time with it. For the sake of not stretching this explanation out I'll say SSJ2 Vegeta is equal to SSJ2 Teen Gohan (so solar system level and massively faster than light+), fyi, destroying a star is billions of times harder than destroying a planet, and destroying a solar system is hundreds of times beyond star level (SSJ2 is only 100 times base so Vegeta is above star level in base).
Just a ' means the character is thinking, " means he is talking out loud.
This story is basically just a Godlike Vegeta in another universe, there may be some unique hax that could pose a challenge to the Saiyan Prince, but in terms of raw power and speed, NO ONE is his equal. (Correct me if I'm wrong about that)
Chapter 1: Life In a New World
Vegeta had just sacrificed his life to finally rid the world of the evil Majin Buu (and it worked this time).
But, instead of being sent to hell, after dying, he met a strange dark silhouette in a empty void. Vegeta was going to try talking, but the world started to shift, after blinking his eyes he ended up in a different world (I might remaster this first chapter, I was having trouble thinking of a realistic way Vegeta can be sent over to the Re:Zero world, none of the Gods would do it, I could see him possibly being offered a physical form in the otherworld for sacrificing himself but not this, if you can think of a better reason for Vegeta to be sent over and actual dialogue or anything of the sort I will redo this, just send it to me and I'll look at it, this was the best I could think of).
Vegeta was shocked and immediately went into a defensive stance ready to fight, which caught the attention of a few people but they just ignored him, but as he noticed none of the creatures were showing signs of hostility, he quickly settled down (keep in mind he wouldn't be very weirded out by the Demi-Humans, he's an alien who has seen and fought many other alien species).
'The hells going on here?' Vegeta thought to himself.
'I was expecting to be sent to hell based on what the Namekian told me, so where am I?'
Vegeta walked around to observe the area. The architecture seemed much different than that of most places he's seen.
'Maybe this is heaven, and that my sacrifice redeemed me, or maybe this is hell and it's just not what I expected but if that's the case, why don't I have a halo? I also can't feel any noticeably large Ki let alone the Ki of anyone I know'.
Vegeta wondered into an alleyway where he noticed a teenager wearing an outfit different than what most people here wore, he had a plastic bag next to him and seemed to be talking to himself troubled with something.
Before they could speak (but still noticed each other) 3 men walk into the alleyway (literally anyone reading this should know them already so I won't bother explaining their appearance, I mean come on).
"If you don't wanna get hurt, cough up all you've got" The skinny one said.
Vegeta smirks at this, he can sense that in terms of power they are all equivalent to the dirt on the bottom of his boot.
Suddenly a young girl with blonde hair wearing very revealing clothing appears out of nowhere (Vegeta sensed her coming but it's not like he would care).
"Move, out of the way!" the young girl said in a hurry to get somewhere.
"Here we go! Is that the cute girl who summoned me?" the strange teenage boy said (Vegeta was confused and curious from what he said but ignored it for now).
"Summoned? I don't know what you're talkin' about, but I'm busy. Sorry. Live strong!" the young girl said as she left almost like a ninja would.
"So uh, does that make you guys less hostile towards us or?" the teenage boy said.
"Actually it ended up making things worse" the big thug said.
Vegeta was getting tired of this, while suppressing his Ki heavily he dashed towards the big thug and punched him in the face, knocking him out.
He then seemingly teleported (but just moved very fast) behind the skinny one and kicked the short one against a wall, also knocking him out.
Then he moved for the skinny one who pulled out two knives, Vegeta didn't wanna bother breaking the knives or disarming him so he just dashed behind the skinny one again and gave a swift chop to the neck (obviously, knocking him out).
Subaru was both amazed and frightened at Vegeta's display of speed and power.
"Woah, how the hell did you do that?!" Subaru said (I could keep saying teenage boy but it's not like you don't know who it is).
Vegeta smirks at this in a cocky attitude, it was a feat like that was extremely basic to him, so for it to be shocking to someone else just feeds his pride, he is also amused by the boy.
Seconds later, a-ok we already know who this is. Emilia walked into the alleyway. Looking for the thief.
She was surprised to see the three thugs on the ground but ignored it. While Subaru's jaw was dropping looking at the beautiful girl.
"Just graciously return what you stole and we won't have any problems." Emilia said, assuming one of the people here is the person who took it.
"Hmph, stole? I didn't steal anything from you. It was most likely the blonde haired girl that just ran by." Vegeta replied.
"Blonde haired girl? Where'd she go?" Emilia asked.
"That way." Vegeta pointed the opposite direction of where Emilia was coming from.
"Hmm, he doesn't seem to be lying. I need to go after her!" she said while running pass Vegeta.
Subaru liked this new Vegeta guy, because intentional or not he did save Subaru, but in any case he didn't want to just let the girl go and possibly never see her again.
"Wait! Let me help you." Subaru said.
"What? Do you know who stole it or something?" Emilia asked.
"Uh, no…" Subaru responded.
"Then how can you help me?".
"Well, I remember her face at least!" Subaru said.
"Hmph, if finding this thing is that important I'll just help you myself" Vegeta said, he was getting tired of their conversation and decided it would be best to just settle this himself, since this is a new place to him, it might actually give him information or help him some other way.
"How can you do that?" Emilia asked.
"I can sense their energy, I already know where they are, but if we don't hurry after them we might not find them" Vegeta responded.
"Really?! You don't seem to be lying so let's go!" Emilia responded with hope in her expression.
"Hmph, alright." Vegeta said with a smirk on his face.
Then they set off to find felt, Vegeta was slightly annoyed at how slow they were moving because these two other people were basically frozen compared to him when he's using his actual speed.
But they ended up at Old Man Rom's shop sooner than Subaru and Emilia would in the actual show, soon enough for Rom and Felt to not be murdered already at least.
Emilia knocked on the door, Felt went to open it assuming it was her client showing up earlier than expected, but was surprised and scared to see Emilia and two people who appeared to be her companions.
"W-What are you doing here?!" Felt asked.
"I'm here to get back what you stole!" Emilia responded.
All of them were inside the shop, Rom was getting ready to attack incase they tried to hurt Felt.
"If you want it back, you need to buy it, but unless you can outpay my client it's not happening!" Felt said.
"I don't need to pay for something that's mine!" Emilia responded.
"Hmph, give her back what you stole so I can leave already." Vegeta responded, annoyed at the argument. He noticed slight signs of hostility from the senior behind the counter but ignored it as he wasn't an actual threat.
Just then, Vegeta sensed something behind Emilia, looking over he saw a blade pointed at Emilia's back, he seemingly teleported behind Emilia and caught the knife with two fingers as it was heading for Emilia, catching everyone's attention.
Vegeta breaks the knife with his fingers and the attacker backs away to the opposite side of the room.
"Oh? How wonderful, you not only stopped my blade but even broke it with just your fingers, I wonder what your intestines look like?" Elsa responded.
"What the hell?" Subaru responded (Vegeta wanted to say the same thing).
She pulled out another blade and dashed at the group, only for Vegeta to appear in front of her, break her wrist, and punch her in the gut sending her flying backwards.
She stood up, only to find Vegeta next to her, hitting her in the head, killing her, she's basically removed from the story, Vegeta could sense that she's just a weakling who couldn't even make him use 0.0001% of his power, yet despite her weakness he could also sense her hostility and evil nature (similar to when he was a space villain) he wouldn't bother wasting time on someone so pathetic. (Keep in mind this is Vegeta after sacrificing himself, he's not a bad guy but against murderers I don't think he cares, if you have a better outcome just send it to me and I might redo it, just an easy way to get Elsa out of the way)
"Hmph, so easy." Vegeta said with a cocky smirk on his face.
Everyone was surprised, and afraid, aside from Subaru who was in nothing but amazement at Vegeta's power.
"So, are you ready to give me my insignia back?" Emilia asked.
Felt didn't want to give it back for free, but she saw that Vegeta was stronger than all of them and could kill her in a heartbeat, and on top of that he seemed to be friends with the girl, Old Man Rom also wanted her to give it back, afraid of what Vegeta and possibly even Emilia could do.
"Fine." Felt said while handing it back, technically Vegeta saved her life anyways.
After retrieving the item, the 3 of them left the shop.
"Well, I'm glad to have this back. Thank you two."
"Hmph, it's fine, just try not to lose it again." Vegeta responded.
"I feel a little bad, I didn't really do anything did I?" Subaru said.
"Not really, but you still wanted to help, that's what's important." Emilia responded with a "pity smile" as some people would call it on her face.
Subaru appreciated the vote of confidence but that just made it worse.
"By the way, what are your names?" Emilia asked.
"Vegeta." You know who responded.
"Subaru. What's your name?" You know who responded again.
"Oh, my names Emilia." Emilia said.
"Anyways, what are you two going to do now?"
"Oh, well, I don't really know where I am, my money doesn't work, and I'm homeless apparently." Subaru replied.
"Hmph, I hate to admit it but I'm in the same position as him." Vegeta added.
"Really?! It looks like you two are probably in a worse position than I would've been losing my insignia for good . Well, I guess as a thanks, it wouldn't be too much for you two to come stay at my place for a while." Emilia said.
"Really? Thanks a lot!" Subaru responded.
"Hmph, thanks, I just hope you have enough food." Vegeta responded confusing the two.
"Well, we do have a lot of food, I'm sure it will be enough. I guess we should go, it's nighttime so there is no point in staying here." Emilia said.

I could've put more thought into this chapter and probably will in future chapters, please leave a review whether you liked or hated it. I'm not very satisfied with the chapter and might redo it in the future.
