So, here it is:
"Bella, you don't have to stay here. You can come with me. It's just a meeting." My mother begged again as she walked out the door. I sighed. Would she ever trust me again? One little fire a month ago is enough to lose her trust in me staying home alone. It wasn't even my fault. It wasn;t my fault we just had to get the house with gas stove.
"Mom, I'll be fine. I promise." I even threw on my best convincing smile. She sighed heavily.
"Okay, but if any-" I cut her off, "-thing happens call right away. You'll have you're cell phone. No problem, okay?"
She shook her head and waved goodbye as she walked to her car. My shoulders relaxed and I shut the door an locked the deadbolt. I went around the house locking every winow and door. Frankly, I really didn't want to have someone break into the house and kill me. Any sane peron wouldn't.
I went to the living room, turned on the tv and layed down on the couch and drifted into a peaceful sleep.
--
A loud bag woke me with a start. I looked around the room in a haze when I saw the source of the loud noise in the corner of my eye. My heart beat picked up and I moved away from the window. Someone was breaking into my house, and I had to do something before I got myself killed.
I jumped up quickly and started to jog quietly to my room, that is, until I tripped. The noise of my fall reverberated throughout the house. I held my breath and shut my eyes. When I heard nothing I looked up to see the intuder looking me straight in the eyes. He was only about 20 feet away.I froze.
I gasped in a breath and decided that I wasn't going to die. I scurried quickly and started running to my room. I made it in and went into the crevice between my closet and my dexk. I grapped a blanket and held my breath. I really hoped he would mistake me for a pile of clothes.
When I heard the beat of the guy coming up the stairs i fixed the blanket so that I could peek through. He came through the door.
My heart beat faster as the intruder walked around, surveying the room. He was so close. I could almost smell the scent of liquor on him. He looked my direction and I flinched. Bad idea.
The baseball bat in his hand swung lazily and he brought it up to swing. His eyes met mine. My breathing stopped.
A/N I know it's not much, but please review. I want to know if that's even suspensful or not.
Thank you
