It was an early evening and the clouds were just tearing up after the rain to show the yellowish sunlight. It was peaceful outside. Just like it always was after it rained. But that is the world outside. The world, which is separated by thick walls from the small apartment. The apartment were they lived. Kise and his boyfriend Aomine. They were a couple since some time now; 2 years to be exact. They started dating at the end of high school and moved together some months ago.

Everything was working fine in their lives. Both of them had a way to earn money and a way to educate oneself. Kise was going on with modelling and was concentrating everything on his model business, while Aomine started to play professional basketball.

The blond stopped playing after school, but, to keep his body in shape, still played one or the other one-on-one with Aomine, on the court near their apartment.

Everything was going fine.

They saw each other every day, they had topics to talk about, they could still joke around, like they used to do in middle school, and everyone had still some time without the partner to relax in peace. But there was still this common thing about relationships. It'll never be 0% troublesome. They fight. They fight over the dumbest things. For example: the Bluenettes jealousy - whenever Kise got presents from fans or was having a shooting in a different town.

Aomine started to make a fuss about the smallest things. Same goes for the model, thought. Kise was also one of the jealous types and got mad easily, when e.g. Aomine was talking to a good looking, curvy girl.

Both would never made a scene in front of other people, when their jealousy started to take over. No. That's not their thing. They would, probably, have done so some years earlier, but they're adults now; they can discuss things fair and square. Or that's what one would like to think.

It's true that they talked about these kinds of things when they were alone, but it's everything but adult-like.

One asked a question, the other one scoffs and doesn't answer. The one who asked started to get annoyed and the yelling and provoking starts to take place. Just like now.

They just entered the apartment when it all started: "What was that just now?!", Kise asked while he striped out of his jacket, not looking at the taller one. The mentioned one was also taking of his jacket and shoes and gave a half-sarcastic answer: "I don't have any idea what you're talking about, so please, enlighten me." Aomine knew that this answer wouldn't calm his boyfriend down, but he couldn't care less. It's always the same when he's out with Kise and someone approached them. The blond is always nice, gives the person an autograph, let her take a photo and talks to her-even if he's on a date with him.

That's the way it goes – and it annoyed the basketball player. So Aomine decided, from time to time, to be nice to those annoying girls, he never saw a guy admiring Kise, too and that's the thing that's getting on his boyfriends nerves. Especially when the girl was pretty. And that was, mostly, what caused a fight; just like this time.

"Are you serious? You know what I'm talking about, Aominecchi!", was the furious answer from the blond, who turned around on his hells and looked angrily in the dark blue eyes from his boyfriend. Said one had a calm, nearly bored, look on his face and gave a half-assed reply: "So what? Am I not allowed to talk to someone? Calm down Kise, I need some sleep and want to go to bed..." With these words Aomine walked past his Lover and made his way to the kitchen, because he wanted to drink something before going to sleep-or better bed; because it's to early for him to sleep. He just said that to make Kise shut up; or at least he hoped that it was a way to make him stop fussing.

He was wrong. Terribly. Like always when they 'talked' about things like this.

While Aomine was trying to pass by, his former team mate stopped him by gripping his arm. Furious like before the model went on talking about the chat Aomine had with this girl: "It's not that you can't talk to someone; it's the way you talked and looked at her! Stop flirting around, especially when I'm with you and when we are on a date!" "Oh please! As if you would care about if we're on a date or not! You're always talking to anyone who approaches you, no matter where we are or what we had planned- so don't you dare to making me look like I'm the bad guy here, okay?! If you wouldn't-" "'If I wouldn't'-what, Aominecchi? If I wouldn't talk to my fans and, in the end, lose my job, because I'm making bad publicity and stuff? That would, probably, be suuper awesome, right? Because, oh, yeah, right I'm the one who's paying most of the rent, while you don't have any plays and don't earn money. Maybe you would like to live on the streets? It's easy to arrange that, you know!" The only thing the bluenette said to this wild accusations was a simple 'god, you're annoying; shut up'.

With these words he ripped his arm out of the blonds grip and just went to the bedroom, not minding the fact that he left a furious blond in the hallway and a not-used-glass-without-water in the kitchen.

If he would be his 2 years younger self Aomine would probably started to yell at Kise in an instant and made the situation much worse.

But luckily he wasn't. He was far more mature now than he used to be and knows when to back off, mostly.

While he stripped out of his pants, after shutting the bedroom door and turning on the light, he could hear the angry footsteps walking past the room and getting quieter with each step. -Seems like he doesn't want to talk to me now. Good...-

With these thoughts Aomine slipped under the sheets and turned the light off by hitting the light switch besides his side of the bed. The room was dark now and the 20 year old laid on his back and looked at the ceiling. He doesn't know how long he laid there-but it sure was some time.

How he could tell? Easy: the curtains in the room weren't closed, so he had the possibility to look outside. It wasn't dark when he went to bed. Now it was.

Another reason how he can tell that some time passed? He was hungry again; which was the main cause that he, in the end, stood up and, finally, walked to the kitchen.

He tried to be quite and was careful, because he doesn't want to meet a certain someone, who could still be mad about nothing. Luckily Kise wasn't in sight, probably in the living room, and the bluenette was able to make some food for himself, even if said food was just a bowl of rice. He ate said bowl in the kitchen, while leaning against the counter and made up his mind about his next action: he would go looking for Kise and would try to talk to him about the earlier problem.

A word and a blow.

So after he finished his little dinner he put the bowl in the dishwasher and went to search for the blond. The model was, like he expected, in the living room, the TV was on.

Slowly Aomine started to walk into the room and said in a questioning tone: "Kise? Hey, listen I...Kise?" The addressed person didn't answer, nor did he moved or anything. No reaction. Nothing. A bit worried Aomine walked to the couch where the blond laid, just to see that said one was asleep. With a short sight the tanned hand ran through the short blue hair, while he was thinking about waking Kise up or letting him sleep. The bluenette decided to let his lover sleep and went back to bed.

It didn't take him long to go back to the bedroom and to cuddle himself under the blanket. It also didn't take him long to close his eyes, positioning his back to the door and nearly drifting off to sleep.

Why nearly? Well, just before he escaped to his dreamland he could feel something warm on his back, someone looping his arms around his torso and pressing his face into his neck. "Did I wake you up?" "No, wasn't sleeping..." "I see." A short silence took over before Kise started another little chat, talking about the topic from the 'fight': "'m sorry." "Hm?" "I said that I'm...sorry. I-" "Forget it. What happened happened, there isn't anything left to talk or apologize about. Just...sleep, okay?" "Hmm..." Another wave of silence – but not the comfortable one. But said one didn't take long to take over. "Aominecchi?" "What's it now Kise? I said you should sleep..." "...I love you..." "Idiot. I said you should sleep, so be quiet."

Many people would probably thought that this was a bad sign for their relationship. But it wasn't. That's the way they were. Aomine has never been good with words, hell, he'll probably never be; that's what he has Kise for. He is a man of action, not words. So that's why he doesn't respond with an 'I love you, too' or something similar. No. He just holded the models hand and pulled him a bit closer, enjoying the presence and warmth.
